Re: 19.5 Commercial Tires For A Pick Up

Saw it today! Was waiting at the car wash for an Urkel wash & wax. Saw a F-350 (with 19.5s) pulling into the Lowes next door and had been watching pick-ups come & go for 25 minutes.n That was the only truck I "heard" crossing the speed bump over there, speed was similar to several ...

Re: 19.5 Commercial Tires For A Pick Up

Yes they will likely ride a bit rougher, but very dependent on air pressure. On the 22.5 inch tires there is a significant difference in ride quality between running 110 psi & 90 psi (sufficient for my loads but lowest allowed on them). You would need to look at a pressure table for the tires yo...

Re: airbags and airline antifreeze

In weather that cold are you towing? If not then I would just pull the fuse and ride on the regular springs. Put the fuse in a couple times each winter (when it is above freezing) just to exercise the compressor.

Re: SRW or DRW

Hitch pin weight is the big factor. I like buying four tires at a time, not six. Have had no problems or concerns with stability with the SRW vice DRW. I have changed a blown rear tire on the SRW where I couldn't with the dually, but the dually has let me limp to get the blown tire changed. When we...

Re: SRW or DRW

My dually dually gets terrible mileage, but then again I carry a car and my home. Having owned all the options up through the years, I recommend the dually pick-up over a SWR if your pin weight is over 2500 lbs (if you tow over 7500 mi/yr) and you do not need the truck as a daily driver. Just MHO ha...

Choke Canyon SP south of San Antonio for wild life. Ask for a back-in on the circle, watch out back window a half hour before sunset! Many strange birds, deer, wild turkeys, etc.

Re: Toyota

I guess you have to give Toyota credit to make future truck owners think they can go buy a Tundra and take the space shuttle camping but for some reason it cant be used pull my 5th wheel? You haven't been to Michigan for long enough yet! I've seen some awful small vehicles pulling some awful big tr...

Re: Toyota

Toyota does make some larger vehicles in other areas of the world. Example: In Nigeria my company owns 2 ea 40 passenger dually buses, they are eqipped with 2.8 liter non-turbo diesel engines. They work fine in city traffic as long as it is not moving too fast or going uphill! :thumbrt:

This is where we winter every year http://forestretreatrvpark.com nice, clean, reasonably quiet. Not near the touristy stuff, but one of the best in the area.
