Re: RAM pickup hitch options.

That is a very nice $400 option from Dodge, I really like my B&W Companion hitch, is a very tight and not sloppy around hitch pin, it is design so you can never make a mistake with it not being clamped around the pin unless you just miss the whole Pin Box.

Yes, it does not take much to disturb that seal the yoke slides into.
It is a pain when you just do all that can be done and little problems come up.

Re: Tranny Problems - truck is Home from the Hospital!

Are you going to have to put any break-in miles on before towing? Rob He said I can drive it like I stole it! Chris Chris They should have replaced all soft parts, may be time to take his advice. Park it in down town Seattle with the keys and let somene else drive it drive it like they stole it!

Re: Tranny Problems - truck in the Hospital finally!

I did a lot of building Drag Cars and Drag Boats in my lifetime, built and bought the best parts on the market. If you going play and run with the big boys it only cost money and you will enjoy the results from all the after market parts available, however I aways found that long life reliability su...

Docking Station Sealant

While installing my electric water hose reel I had to remove the plastic access door in the bottom of the docking station. After removing the plastic door insert I was not happy to see no sealant was applied to prevent water from flowing under the insert onto the wood floor. I know when flushing bla...

Re: Front hydraulic pads to low

Like Mike said get the truck level with air bags and then level trailer by hitch or pin box, these trailers are heavy in pin weight. The newer trucks most never need air bags, here is a picture of my 2014 3850RL and my landing gear came adjusted correct from the factory for my truck. I also attached...

Re: Selecting A Generator

Rob, The factory installs a Onan 5.5 LP (5500 Watt Propane) unit, the 5.5 unit will power two A/C units and a little power to spare, if you plan to run two A/C units, electric hot water heater, and any other items at the same time go with a Onan 6.6 LP unit. I think you will be fine with the 5.5 LP ...

Re: Sad Day! Tranny Problems

$ 4,000 sounds like time to just put the cover back on the tranny and head down to the dealer and use that $4,000 as credit towards a new truck.
Its only money and you cannot take it with to the grave.

Re: Chevy Integrated Brake Control

I have had three trucks connected to my old 5th wheel and never could get the trailer wheels to lock up at a 10-15 mph roll. The old trailer break control setting was about 6 and would stop the truck at a very slow slow roll while check breaking, the new trailer requires me to set the break control ...

Re: This should be interesting

What's going to happen is they will start requiring RV's to stop at the scales, then the checking will start.
All these people towing over GVWR, overloaded trailers, trucks too small pulling heavy rigs, people running tires 6 plus years, etc.

Re: I saw another bird

It looks like a Cardinal made by Cobra before 1995, I think FR bought Cobra and the names of all the Cobra models around 1994- 1995, Cobra had the same model names Cardinal, Sierra, Salam, Corsica and others.
That makes that unit 1992- 1993 model.
