WAIT! that was before we started this trip and HAD no rocks in it... maybe it was all the canned goods and 18 gallons of water that I carry in Jugs...) BTW: Alice and the White Rabbit are BEAUTIFUL together! LOVE the 'stripes' Ch...

Dana: we missed that pageant by just a couple of weeks, apparently.. Sounds like it would REALLY be interesting! But it was SO quiet and peaceful there, with no other campers around.... REALLY felt relaxed when we left there... Maybe we will be able to catch it another time. Thanks for the reminder!...

Hoping this post will WORK! Not too much confidence in my photo bucket experience! We were in Site 90, in Mesquite Camp area - as far in as you can go! It was PERFECT, we were the only ones there and the scenery was FAB! Here we go: http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t311/dbalfanz/IMG_1470.jpg

I got some GREAT pix of our rig with the lighted rock in the background. LOVE THAT PLACE! Glad you guys are still seeing some great places! Bill and Debbie told us a...

Re: Confusion
The times in the past few years that we have been down in the RGV area of south Texas (Rio Grand Valley) along the "Brownsville, Mission, McAllen, Phar" areas we have met a LOT of Canadians and REALLY enjoyed our meetings - My Paternal Grandmother was born in Millaca, Minnesota, and lived ...

Re: Grand Canyon Campground recommendations
We stayed at Grand Canyon Camper Village this past September (THANKS, Don!) and it was very nice - walking distance to several shops, dining choices, and small grocery, fuel, etc. We drove into the park (just a couple of miles) and then took the FREE shuttle to all of the points of interest - on/off...

Re: Winterizing your home
In years past, when we have left in January for 3 months, we have always turned the heat to 50º, turned the water heater way down, shut off water softener, unplugged desktop computer, TVs, etc.. We let the bank know our approximate route, give contact numbers to Post Office, guy who watches the hous...
