Re: DEF tank heater

Sorry, I have to admit that I'm not much of a gear head. Would the PACBRAKE work on my 2008 Chevy better than the Banks system would? I got the impress last year that the Banks could create problems with my Allison, would the PACBRAKE work better? I don't have direct experience with it, with an all...

Re: Edge Insight CTS

Didn't you have to put a probe in the exhaust manifold On the older trucks yes. They should have been standard on trucks since they started putting diesel in them but they haven't. If you are towing or adding power they are must. You can increase the longevity of your engine by driving by you EGT g...

Re: DEF tank heater

Check out the Banks system for your truck Jim, it's cheaper than a new truck. Last year on our way to California I had contacted Banks and made arrangements to have their exhaust brakes installed. After posted it on the forum and hearing about problems I might have with our Allison I back away from...

Re: Understanding how DEF works on Diesel Trucks For 2011

There was an article in Diesel Power showing how water meth injection does and even better job of cleaning it up even on an over fueled truck. Shows the aftermarket is way better than the EPA and manufacturs. For those of you that don't know water meth injections give you more power and allowed for ...

It actually moved. I didn't think that was possible with that much weight on a ford being that is either 7.3 or 6.0...... Sorry couldn't resist. :ymhug:

Re: I Could Possibly See a Dodge in My Future

Only down fall is it will have urea as they still need to keep their california clean idle standards. One note about this. The smog equipment is a Federal EPA requirement. Including the DPF and all the other whatever that has been choking the diesels for the last few years. Starting in 2014 it'll b...

Re: I Could Possibly See a Dodge in My Future

Talked to a buddy that does design work them, he isn't involved at all but the has been keeping a ear out for the other department on if it will go live or not. He knowns they would like to have it compete with the 450 king ranch and this would be suprior. Plus if they go with it is will have the co...

Lovely. Now if I can just get the bird off of it to get it in. Although I would rather a dealer not touch my truck since the like the flash the ECM with updates when not asked.

Re: towing to rushmore

Dude that is horrible and a little unexpected from a GM dealership. They are getting as bad and chrysler. Hope they get you fixed soone. Yet another region I won't buy a new truck. A stupid emission compoent fails and it strands you. They should have just turned if off in the ECM so you could get ho...

Re: A first look at the 2012 Super Duty

still no stick option. I really like these trucks and might even consider a used one once the motor is proven but still not sold on automatic and towing. Maybe I am just to much of a control freak. Truck does look sharp and love the interior.
