Re: Will I ever quit banging my head on my 5'er
My compartment doors have the hinge at the bottom the door opens down, so no problem there. I have hit my head on the bedroom slide. I'm wondering if hanging streamers or some sort of curtian from the bottom edge of the slide would help.

Re: Question on 2012 F350 Electronic Shift on the Fly
From the 2012 F350 Owners Manual for the Manual Shift on Stop as they call it. "The 4WD system is engaged or disengaged by rotating the control for both front wheel hub locks from the FREE or LOCK position, then manually engaging or disengaging the transfer case with the floor-mounted shifter. ...

Re: A tour of Ford's Super Duty assembly plant
Having worked at Ford for 27 years, most of it working on computer systems destined for the plant floor, I am still amazed every time I go into a vehicle assembly plant. To think that you could unload 10,000+ different parts at one end of the building and drive trucks out the other end boggles my mi...

Re: New 2011 Ford F350 in the driveway
I've had mine for just over a year and get just over 12 MPG towing and 20 empty. Mine has the 3.31 gear and still has plenty of low end power.

Re: New 2011 Ford F350 in the driveway
It has been a long time since I had black interior, it must be making a come back because alot of the trucks have it now. I am starting to remember how hard it was to keep it clean. There is only 300 miles on it and I haven't towed anything yet but it feels like it will do a good job. The onboard m...

Re: RECALL of Ford 6.4 diesel
Jeff - It looks like your truck is covered by the recall. The recall is a Customer Satisfaction Recall number R11B23 The purpose of the recall is to flag potentially harmful conditions before they cause real damage to the engine. They are monitoring: - Water In Fuel Reduced Power - Engine Coolant Te...

Re: RECALL of Ford 6.4 diesel
I'll have to stop by the dealer and check. Haven't seen anything in the mail, yet. Mine hasn't given me any problems, but we're headed out on a 1800 mile trip next month. Might schedule the 5k maintenance early and get this taken care of also if it applies. What problems have you had? If you email ...

Re: curt Q5 20K hitch
I had the Curt in my last truck and went to the Reese Signature hitch with the new truck. I switched because I got the factory installed hitch mounts from Ford in the new truck, not because I had trouble with the Curt. The Reese hitch is a lot better than the Curt IMHO. I get no chucking with the Re...

Re: Big three Diesel Shootout
John - I'll have to measure it when I get home tonight, but as Jeff said in his post there is a height adjustment on the hitch. My hitch came set in the middle of the height range and it was perfect for my unit, so for me it was as simple as dropping the hitch into the mount and I was done. I measu...

Re: Big three Diesel Shootout
Hi John, your F250 like my F250 has a 2"block between the spring and axle and 17" wheels while the F350s come with a 4"block. It's my understanding that Ford will replace the 4" block with a 2" block at no charge. And you can get wheel sizes in 17,18 or 20". Rob Is thi...
