Nice camper
Passed a full body painted Cardinal FL from Idaho pulled by a white ford dually between Green River and Price Utah. Nice setup.

Re: Does anyone dry camp?
I just wanted to update this post, since I posted in 2011 I added two more six volt batteries and figured out how to adjust the regulator so the LP tanks get used up before the switchover goes to the other tank. I still carry a 40 lb tank for long weekend summer camp outs but rarely need it. I have b...

Re: GM/Dodge trucks
The 2011 GM Duramax DRW works well for me. With my Cardinal and ATV trailer in tow I am 27,400 lbs total weight, around 9 mpg loaded and 18 mpg empty. Not flat towing, the exhaust brake works great and the truck rides really nice when empty. The power when towing is awsome! You won't be sorry if you...

Shudder on takeoff
My 2011 GM D/A CC 4WD DRW has a shudder on a brisk takeoff from a stop pulling my 3450 RL. Dealer thinks it might be my Cardinal. Truck and camper 27,400 lbs. Anyone else had this issue w/ newer GM ? I am sure it is not my camper. Thanks for any input.

2500 Duramax to 3500 Duramax DRW
We are trading in the 2007 GMC 2500 CC 4WD Duramax for the 2011 Chevy 3500 CC 4WD Duramax DRW. The old truck pulled the bird just fine but we were overweight by.......well more than I was comfortable with after reading all of these forums. Does anyone use/need airbags with a pin weight of 3k? I am t...

Re: Does anyone dry camp?
Thanks for the input. The Honda 3000 IS will not power two air conditioners at the same time, but it was a consideration. The bottom line is the dealer that I purchased my Cardinal from assured me that the L.P. Onan would work just as good as the gas Onan generator in my previous toyhauler RV. I wis...

Does anyone dry camp?
We primarily dry camp during the summer and set up our 2011 cardinal 3450RL with four six volt GC batteries and two hundred watts of solar panels on the roof. I had an Onan 5500 LP genset installed when I purchased the camper. this is the first LP genset that i have owned. Has anyone else used an LP...
