Re: Dodge Truck Recall

There is a possibility the water pump bearing may seize causing the serpentine belt to slip and heat up. I have read of a few Cummins owners having to replace there water pump due to failure with a relatively few miles on the truck. The water pump is a Cummins installed part and not FCA even though...

Re: Bird Spotted thread

We saw a black and white Cardinal heading north on I-75 near mile marker 205 in Georgia. It really looked familiar so Ruth called SherryF and sure enough Sherry and Fred Frederickson, our neighbors in Florida are on the road. They are headed to Minnesota. Who else will spot them?

Re: Buy vs Rent RV lots

Ruth and I bought a spot in December in a brand new resort in Fort Myers, Florida. (Cypress Trail RV Resort) The number one amenity is the weather, lol. Our financial advisor suggested that if you see yourself snowbirding for at least 10 years than buying a spot can make sense.

Re: Cypress Trail RV Resort

Things here are coming online in dribs and drabs. The security gates passed the fire department inspection today and should become functional soon. Several days ago the landscape lighting at the resort entrance began operation. They look pretty nice imo. http://i1129.photobucket.com/albums/m503/wayn...

Re: Cypress Trail RV Resort

Wow! That looks like quite a place, and to be able to get in on the ground floor is really a good deal. Did you actually buy a lot with a deed or is it a long term lease? It's nice to have nice new facilities. We bought a time share 29 years ago and fortunately the owners association has been good ...

Re: Cypress Trail RV Resort

Here are some daytime shots. Cypress Trail is located off exit 139 of I-75. There are about five RV dealers within two exits. There is also a Pilot and a Camping World at exit 139. http://i1129.photobucket.com/albums/m503/waynespong/Cypress%20Trail%20RV%20Resort/DSCF0201.jpg http://i1129.photobucket...

Re: Cypress Trail RV Resort

Wow Wayne, looks like a real nice place! I wish I'd have thought about it last week when I spent two days trying to find a nice campground down that way. We were going to spend the winter at home this year but cabin fever set in and next Tuesday were out of here for 6 weeks. We will be at a campgro...

Cypress Trail RV Resort

Cypress Trail is a brand new RV resort in Fort Myers, Florida. There are lots available for rent or sale. All the lots are advertised to be at least 35'x90' with a concrete pad of 20'x70'. We initiated the process to purchase a lot here last February and were finally able to move onto the lot Christ...

MO 60 Headed Towards Sikeston

We saw a Cardinal going eastbound on MO 60 headed towards Sikeston at about 8:10am on May 21. (We are on a road trip sans our RV to Nevada, MO for a college function.)

Re: Extended Warranties?

We currently have the Dodge extended warranty and a Ford prepaid maintenance plan on our truck. The reason we decided to do this is that we wanted to limit our costs until we become eligible for Railroad Retirement in 2016. We folded the premiums into the five-year note, spreading out the cost. We'v...

We left because our twins come home from college for spring break this month (seperate weeks). They keep telling us now that they're 21 they're adults. We believe we're going to take them up on that premise next year.

Re: Big Tree RV Resort

Looks like a real nice place Wayne. How has your weather been? The weather in Arcadia was relative paradise. Vast majority of days highs between 75-85. Lows in the high 50s- lower 60s. Only one real stormy day as this is dry season. One night it got cold enough to turn on the gas furnace to protect...
