THX - EAW! That is very helpful info, I appreciate the feedback. We will travel dry until we are out of the freezing temps.

Re: Winter Towing Question

Thx - I was thinking the tank heaters where to be used while being parked. I guess we will travel dry until we are out of the freezing temps.

Winter Towing Question

I am going to be traveling from Utah to southern Texas after Christmas for a few weeks. I currently have the trailer winterized. I am wondering about the use of water while traveling to our destination, which may take 3 to 4 days? I suspect we will experience freezing temperatures for the first 2 to...

Re: Washington Coast & Vancouver Island

All great comments - Thank you!

Olbird - I will look into your recommended detour I5 north to 101. It might actually be faster; however, my wife likes traveling the coast. We actually did the Astoria, OR south to California trip last summer & had a lot of fun.

Washington Coast & Vancouver Island

Trying to plan a trip up the Washington Coast the last two weeks of July 2015 & first week of August. I have never been in this past of the country - so everything will be new for us. I kind of decided to start at Astoria, Oregon and travel north on HWY 101 ending up in Port Angeles, WA. Taking ...

Re: Transfer Flo

Double D's: Thanks, I can't decide if the additional $600 bucks is worth the diamond plate? Does the black powder coating on the other tank oxidize and look bad over time? I have a question for you guys with the auxiliary tanks - when you are not towing are you adding fuel to the auxiliary tank to k...

Re: towing with a 2500HD

I have a 3030RS (which is smaller than your 3850) and towed with a 2010 Chevy 2500HD. I was always on the ragged edge of being over capacity & was generally over with the pin weight (rear axle). The pickup had plenty of power & the transmission was smooth. I travelled many miles over & t...

Re: Transfer Flo

I just scheduled an appointment with Transfer Flow this p.m. to have a 50 gal black tank installed in July. I am sitting on the fence whether to get the black or the aluminum diamond plate tank? Which did you get & can you post a photo?

New Diesel Pickup Questions

I currently have a 2010 Chev 2500HD (with Duramax) & I am currently on the ragged edge of being over my capacity with towing my 5th wheel. I would like to add a trailer & ATVs to the end of my 5th wheel - the additional weight concerns me. I guess I am thinking of upgrading to a one ton pick...
