Re: New Truck Tires?
On my other Ram SRW with Cummins I kept the front at 80psi but dropped the rears to 45psi Loaded all would be 80psi I now have a dually and really haven't changed the air pressure yet The door sticker shows for max weight of 14k lbs 80 front and 65 rear. Some would argue that it should be 80 at the ...

Re: New tow rig
Its granite crystal metallic. Relatively common color at dealers in this area. Actually matches the stripe scheme on the 5er real good. Im getting a bad case of STS ( short timer syndrome) Almost a month away from retiring. Cant wait for the Sisters and Santa Fe get togethers.

New tow rig
I had already posted about our new Cardinal. Any one who RVs know that one thing all ways leads to another. Drove home a new rig yesterday. 2018 Ram Laramie CC Dually. Has the Aisin tranny and 4.10 gears. I would have preferred the 3.73 gears but 2018 Ram truck selection is dwindling. The new config...

Re: Dodge Truck Recall
There is a possibility the water pump bearing may seize causing the serpentine belt to slip and heat up. I have read of a few Cummins owners having to replace there water pump due to failure with a relatively few miles on the truck. The water pump is a Cummins installed part and not FCA even though ...

My 2014 Ram has a def gauge. When it gets down to just above a half on the gauge it will take 2.5 gals. Bought the truck last August and with 6k miles empty and towing I have only added 5 gals. I plan on carrying a 2.5 gal of def along on our trip next week but as was posted def is readily available...

Re: Payload of your DRW Trucks
According to the Ram 2014 specs for a crew cab 4x4 long bed DRW Cummins HD w/aisin tranny - GVW= 14000, Payload= 5430 and GCVW= 32000. My 2014 SRW has a GVW= 12,300, Payload = 4380 and GCVW = 25000. According to my calculations I could ditch my 3025 and pull a 3450. Of course I would be doing this s...

New Dometic 15k AC Unit for sale
We purchased our Blue Ridge in January of 2014. In February of 2014 I had the dealer install a Dometic 15k AC/Heat pump unit. They had no use for the 15k unit that came with the 5er so I have had it sitting in the garage since then. This is a model # 991763117 and includes the thermostat. I know the...

Re: Purchased a new Ram
Took a drive up to Tacoma, Wa to visit our daughter last weekend. Averaged 19.4 mpg empty with mostly freeway driving. :d We are heading over to the coast next weekend with the 5er to help get the Cummins broke in. Really love this truck! Be glad to see how this thing pulls plus I want to hit the sc...

Good deal! Replacing the turbo is an expensive ordeal. I know my new truck will not be messed with. Any changes will be picked up by the ECM and cannot be erased.

Re: Purchased a new Ram
No Mike. Didn't have to with this one. =)) I forgot all about that. I still have the wheel to wheel running boards coming along with a chrome bug shield, stainless sill plates , mud flaps and vent shades for the door glass. Told the dealer that I wasn't going to spend more money to add accessories s...

Re: Purchased a new Ram
Stopped at the dealer on the way home from work. They have located another truck. Seems they had the idea that I wanted only one particular color. Straightened that out real quick. Will find out Friday when they expect the truck. Because of Sandys work schedule we wont be able to take delivery until...
