Re: Natural Gas Fuel

I may be wrong, but I don't believe that you will get the same amount of awsome TORQUE from an engine running on Natural gas as opposed to a Diesel engine........ something (torque) which is very important when towing big heavy 5er's & Semi's.

Re: Dully? 4x4 or 2x4?

I have a 4x4 longbed crew cab ( see signature) and don't regret it a bit !!!!(Silverado 3500 Duramax) PLENTY of room, power, terrific stability when towing, & if things get slick (like it does in Minnesota) good traction with the 4x4. In addition 4x4's usually have better resale value. Only draw...

Re: After Market Fuel Tanks

Well......I "splurged" & had a the latest "fifth generation" 62 Gal. "Titan Super Series" aftermarket Diesel fuel tank installed in place of the stock 34 Gal. tank on my 07 Silverado Classic Dually yesterday. I've read on several forums that this is a DIY job but af...

Re: My new 2011 Silverado 3500

Yes dpf and def and 9 injectors. Regen was extended from 300 miles to 700 miles and with the injector there is no smell compared to my 08 which dumped fuel. I go through one gallon of urea for every thousand miles will know how much it used while towing when I get my oil change. Not trying to start...

Re: GM P/U Rear End WARNING!!!

Down here I deal with a small family owned Ford dealer and they take excellent care of all my vehicles. Yep that's the key in my opinion.......I deal withy a SMALL FAMILY OWNED CHEVY DEALER in Appomattox, Virginia. When I bring my truck in I know that I'll be treated right and won't be ripped off. ...

A Diesel Dually is the only way to go if you're gonna tow a large heavy 5er. DW & I love our 07 Silverado Classic Dually.

Re: Why hasn't the cost of motor oil fallen?

What about cost of deisel fuel? I am seriously thinking gasoline engine again. It will get me by alot cheaper than deisel at these prices. If you're still "shopping" for a TV for your new 5er..... in my opinion you can't go wrong with a Diesel...ton's of torque. Just my opinion. We have a...

Re: Tow Hitch for rear of bird

Ordered mine as an option from the factory. I use mine to carry my spare tire on a hitch mounted carrier since we had to relocate the spare tire from under the front of our bird when we had a generator installed up front.

Re:

Thanks for all the info and your opinions on Synthetic Oil. Synthetic is a waste of money unless you plan to go with extended oil changes based on the results of lab tests to determine when you need to. Diesel fuel is expensive enough, why waste excess $ on synthetic oil? Larry 8) Everyone is entit...

The annode rod helps prevent your water heater from rusting thru from the inside out.

Re: Cardinal Cover

I need so input if any of you members out there cover your Cardinal? And if so, does Forest River make a specific cover for the Cardinal? I want to keep ours looking nice, so the only choices are to cover it or rent a storage unit for $175/month. Thank you... My metal RV "carport" works g...
