Air bags will help with squatting and ride smoothness, but they don't add carrying capacity.

On my old trailer, I was runnung air bags on a 3/4 ton truck and had some problem with chucking. I added a 5th Airborne, and it improved, but still there. I towed a couple of different trailers for about four years with Dodge short beds. It was definitely reassuring that the slider gave me an 89 degree turning angle to get into ( and more importantly OUT ) of most anywhere.
