Re: My truck's first wreck

Thanks for the positive comments. Yes, everyone's fine. My son had his 2 sons aged 3 & 4 strapped well in their car seats in the rear seat--they bounced but no injuries. He was going 50 and a car coming at him crossed the center line while texting, etc., and my son swirved out of the way skiddin...

Re: Oil Changes on your DIESEL trucks

I buy my motorcraft oil filter at walmart and delo 15w40 at costco. around $55 & do it myself. 15 quarts After reading the 4 pages of posts here, it sure looks like i change it too often--always BEFORE 4000 miles. And, I don't always try to fill the filter with oil--not sure it works cuz the oil...

My truck's first wreck

We love our children right? Mine borrowed the F350 diesel and lost a fight with a guard rail---$7000! Mainly front bumper, rear bumper, bent wheel, scratches, rear fender bent, possible alignment--frame? frame seems ok. Local ford dealer to fix it. Any issues I should be aware of or ask this dealer?...

Re: Walmart Oil Change

I've always changed my oil. And in the Ford PSD, it's very easy with the top mounted filter--QUESTION:::: Has anyone changed their oil in a campground? I carry all my own supplies, spill NO oil, so I thought I could do it when I need to some day. So far I've been able to change it in relatives yards...

Re: Diesel Engine in our '06 Ford-leak bearing bed plate

My truck is also the same as yours, Mike. And I had the same problem last summer before our current trip. They replaced 2 seals on top of the engine and the rear main seal twice to get it to quit leaking. After 4000 miles this fall, the engine is completely dry! BTW, to replace the rear main they di...

Re: Disney Fort Wilderness, FL

Hi flojoe:

We'll be in Orlando probably next February. Are reservations needed then? Would you say that is the best RV park when visiting Disney & attractions?

Re: Coast to Coast or RPI information needed

Chris: Great to hear of someone so close. Let's do it sometime--maybe meet for coffee & talk birds & camping. I'm looking at campclubusa now. $39.95 intro rate sounds pretty good. I'd like to talk to you more about your experiences with it. We've camped at steelhead park many times--nice par...

Corps of Engineers--information needed

I see references to the Corps of Engineer parks. I understand the camp fees are $8 per night for full hookups. Can someone explain how to join, etc. thanx Mark

Coast to Coast or RPI information needed

We are negotiating with our home park on purchasing C2C or RPI. I'd appreciate any input from you folks that have one or both of these and if they're worth it, etc. We're going to be in our rig for about 4 months starting after labor day & it seems a good way to camp cheaply.

thanx, Mark

Re: RV PARKS IN WEST YELLOWSTONE

T/J We have reservations for Sept 09 in Madison campground for 6 nights. We got them thru Xanterra. very nice people. My bird is too long for most sites, but they will place you in one of the few that can take long rigs if you push them. No hookups at $18.50 per night. Hookups at Fishing Bridge are ...

Want to purchase/trade table, chairs for slide-in dinette

Hi folks. I have a 2007 31RKLE that came with the table/chairs option (about $455 extra). We want the slide-in seating dinette instead. (Grandkids sleeping/eating area). If anyone has one for sale, let me know. I would consider a trade. Ours has had little use, in fact, 2 of the chairs still have th...
