Re: boat hauling

That was a nice set up. I will do some more searching on line for one. The ones I have seen so far sit on the rear of the crew cab. I would really like to find a set up like the one in Snorkings pics only for the crew cab. I should have taken a welding class when I was younger. Thanks for your help

boat hauling

Was considering a porta boat but we have seen some rigs that have a small boat / kayak being hauled over the cab of the truck. Has anyone used this and is hard on the truck?

Re: 2006 F250 PSD

Thanks guys. I could not find one that would tell me the actual problem either. I will probably go with the wifi model on amazon with the android app. I think my truck has some inherent problems that will need to be addressed. The turbo sticking is due the fact that I only use it to pull the 5th whe...

2006 F250 PSD

Can anyone tell me the best wired code reader for my truck? My check engine light stays on all the time. Ford always says it's the turbo sticking due to rust? because I don't drive it enough. $600 to clean. I'm a ford guy, but, beginning to think Dodge may have been a better choice for a diesel. I w...

Re: Inbed brake connection

Thanks for the info. I assume they are putting the plug in the column next to the tail gate? The tee with the prewired extension sounds like the way to go. Thanks for the speedy replies. Hope everyone has a great 4th.

Inbed brake connection

Has anyone installed a 7 pin brake connector in the truck bed. Is it anymore difficult than cutting the hole? Dealer wants $210 to do it.

Re: SRW or DRW

Never driven a dually. Did add ride rite no drill airbags last weekend and drove around the block. It felt pretty good. If you don't have them, it might help. Took me 2.5 hours to install and they were about $350 from amazon. We are leaving this weekend for our 1st trip with the new camper and airba...

Re: Total Loss

We agree. If you have a camper, I would recommend replacement insurance. Even if you don't owe on it. The cost is very small

Re: Total Loss

We are using Cincinnati Ins Co. We did loose a pretty good bit, but they gave us top retail [NADA Book] and money for the tree removal which we did ourselves. They also waived the deductable. We knew when you buy new, you loose value quickly. Unfortunatly we did not have replacement Ins. Added gap i...

Re: Total Loss

Thats what we thought, however, the salesman showed us this new sticker that we have never seen before. The Pin weight was listed on the VIN sticker. I was just hoping it would be lighter

Re: Total Loss

We will probably look into airbags if everything else works out as we are still working with the insurance folks. We were wondering about the listed pin weight though. Is that fully loaded with a generator, washer / dryer, and water? The new models have another removable weight sticker in the door j...
