Re: AARP Health Insurance

We've had AARP, (United Health Care), supplement plan TW for the last 6 years and have not had a problem getting care. We're on the road about 6 months a years and have not been turned down yet. We did switch our prescription drug plan to Humana Enhanced (PDP), it was a little bit cheaper.

How Accurate Are Gas Stations Pumps?

I’ve been using one of the trip gauges on the truck to check mileage for each tank of diesel. Several things I’ve observed; while towing I range from 8 – 12 miles per gallon. I run in the 62-65 miles per hour range, and that wind seems to be the biggest factor in mileage. Hilly country doesn’t seen ...

Re: Ford 350 Vibration On Takeoff with Trailer

I'm the OP and it's been a year since I posted this. We still have the vibration and to be honest I've got so use to it I forgot about it, but like I said its still there.

Good Sam Campground Directory--To Big

I just ordered a new Good Sam Campground directory. Several years ago they offered two directories, one for West and one for the East, now it’s just one big book, that take up to much room and is hard to use, we liked the smaller one. I asked if they had any plans to bring back the two directories, ...

Re: New Diesel Pickup Questions

The only problem you might see in cold weather with DEF would be if it froze with an over full tank, in this case the freezing weather might damage the tank.

Scratch In Our New Truck

‪Well, I knew it would happen sometime but I was hoping later. I took our new truck to the car wash yesterday, one of those automatic washes that the machine goes around your truck. I’ve been in this type with our old truck, but it was the first with our new crew cab that is longer. You guess it, wh...

Re: Short Bed Without A Slider Hitch?

I dont know the air hitch you have, if it is a Hensly the sell a slider that goes onto standard rails for $624 Yes, our air hitch is a Hensley. We did look at this option but at the end decided to get a long bed. We picked up our 2014 F350 Ford last August. We pulled out for our winter travels in O...

I've also been looking at the Torklift suspension kits, it works like the Timbren but when your not using it you can move it out of the suspension so it doesn't make contact.

Re: Full-time RV and Claiming Taxes

Our data is a bit dated, but when we were full timing back 2001-2004 we were able to take the interest off our taxes and also our sales taxes. We bought a new truck this year and will take the 7-½% sales taxes off. I’m sure it’s different per state also. When we full-timed we were residents of South...

Timbren/Torklift Kits

Are any of you using Timbren or Torklift suspension kits? When you’re not pulling do they change the ride in the truck? I’ve had air bags in the past and I like that I can change the height but I understand that they take away from the trucks sway control where the Timbren or Torklift systems do not...
