Re: 2 WD vs 4 WD

Never have needed 4 wheel drive while towing or camping. Do I need it, not really. Do I want it yes. IMO a dually is not the best vehicle in the snow as a semi-daily driver. The 4 wheel drive helps me out in the snow and gives me piece of mind even if it doesn't help as much as I think. I usually lo...

Chief,

Thats the hitch im looking at. I like the idea of no rails. Might go with the 24K. The prices I have are close.

We stayed at the KOA in Caddo Mills. About 15-20 minutes from Mckinney. Not a bad place.

Re: Towing with 3500 6.7 AUTO RAM

Dave,
I went with the auto this time. The 5.9 Cummins 6 speed was a great combo but I think I will like the 6 speed auto better. I have yet to pull with it yet but I'm looking forward to it. Like others have said before I bought a Cummins, it just came in a Dodge box.

Re: Tranny Choice

It seems to be a DODGE thing, I know a bunch of guys that tow BIG and have CTD sticks, I believe Paul and Tammy hace a stick in their Dodge also Did have one. Went to the auto last week when I bought the new truck. I hated the old 4 speed OD auto pre 2007. I went with the manual because the 6 speed...

Re: New tow vehicle car carrier on the way

Bruce, Very nice. I really like the Smartcar too (Dallas Cowboys colors). It will be interesting to see you hop in the Smartcar after a few thousand miles driving the Columbia. You might be wanting to make some WIDE turns in the Smartcar the first few miles. I can imagine what a huge difference that...

Re: info 05 dodge 3500 drw 6 speed

Joem,

Just wondering how long did you notice the vibration? Did it gradually get worse as the crack progressed or did the vibration appear all of the sudden.

Since we both have basically the same rig I was just wondering.

Thanks
Paul
