Re: A Tow Vehicle religious question
My close friend traded his 2011 Ford diesel for a new 22 Chevy diesel. Both are the 3500 with the short bed. He says the Chevy has plenty of power, like they all do. He does say that the Chevy brakes are noticeably not as good as the old Ford. He also said that the Ford rode better, could be because...

Re: 2019 Chevy 3500 diesel. High Country
Some diesel owners have had fuel pump repairs/replacements covered by their auto insurance due to contaminated fuel causing the problems. It may require the fuel to be tested by the dealer.

Re: Camping Memberships and Discounts
We have been Good Sam members for years.we don't use it as much as we did. Probably not saving money any more. I have a member ship to the Veterans and Military Campgrounds, but have not used it at all. We are members at Briarcliffe RV Resort at Myrtle Beach. This is the best investment of all of th...

Re: Andersen Ultimate 5th wheel hitch?
Keith, the Roto Flex statement is correct. I have the MorRyde, I guess that's why I said that. The Roto Flex does have ability to tilt some, MoreRyde does not. My 2 friends do have the Roto Flex. One of them has towed his camper for about 3 years without the lock out and has no damage. When the othe...

Re: Andersen Ultimate 5th wheel hitch?
Update on B&W hitch. After using it now for a long time, over 2 years, I will give you an update on the B&W and the Andersen. I have some friends that are still using Andersen. One has had to replace the coupler and the ball because the teflon in the coupler fell out and he did not notice it...

Re: Turbo Charger Codes
Wow!! These things are really expensive to repair, almost everything on the road has a turbo now. I had to replace the battery in Carol's 2016 Edge and I could not believe it was close to $200 for the battery. I guess it shows my age when I say that I remember $20 batteries. Glad your truck is healt...

Rt 19 in WV
Spotted a very nice full paint Cardinal heading North on RT 19 towards I-79 today on my way to the WV trout streams. There was lots of campers out today, probably snowbirds heading home.

Re: Andersen Ultimate 5th wheel hitch?
You are right that the B&W Puck Hitch is the same as the B&W Companion. They are great hitches. The Andersen is sort of a raised Gooseneck. It does use a 2 5/16 ball same as a Gooseneck. I never noticed any difference in the way the trailer handled, The MorRyde pinbox on the trailer works wi...

Re: Andersen Ultimate 5th wheel hitch?
Nothing wrong with either. I really miss the Andersen when I need the B&W out of the truck bed. With the new trucks being so tall, I have to climb on the rear tire of the truck to remove and install the locking pin in the B&W every time that I hitch or unhitch the trailer, never had to do th...

Re: Andersen Ultimate 5th wheel hitch?
I have used the Andersen on my previous Cardinal and my present one. I traded trucks about 2 years ago and the truck that I traded for had the B&W puck style hitch in it. So that is what I'm using now. My opinion of the Andersen after using one for about 5 years. It was the rail type steel not t...

Re: Anyone towing with a 2017 or newer F-450
Towing with my 2019 F350 average 9-10 mpg. It has the 3:55 rear and is SRW. Mostly towing in the hills of WV and run 70-75MPH when in the Interstates.

Nice truck. I traded my 2011 for a 2017 that had half worn tires. I was trying to figure out why the previous owner traded it. Now I know It came with a BW factory puck hitch.

Re: Tire Pressure Monitors
Lost mine on I-77 about 8 miles from the house. A wheel bearing went bad and I lost the tire, wheel and brake drum. Had some serious damage. I replaced the axel, and some of the J panel. It was dark, and I thought that I had a blow out. I was prepared to put the spare. It was a surprise when I looke...

Re: Tire Pressure Monitors
I have the TST. I also lost a wheel with the system in service. I can tell you for sure that it will not alarm when it loses a signal from one of the sensors. I am pretty sure that none of the systems out there will alarm with signal loss. They have a built in delay. Evidently they often lose the si...
