You may want to check for recalls on your truck. There is a P77/NHTSA 14V-796 recall on my 2005 1500 that may apply. I just had $2,000 worth of rearend repair done by the dealer under the recall. Best, gm.

My setup uses a Firestone with compressor that I manually adjust. Generally, 10 pounds when empty, 45 when towing. My TT has a tongue weight of 1,400#. System works great.
