Bird spotted behind a F350 northbound on CA14

Passed a 2006 - early 2007 RK Bird behind a white F350 today just past the AV Fairgrounds today around 1300 headed north.

I agree with Mike, my new tank will be for my convenience. 60 plus gallons of gas will get me through a day's drive. Then set up and go get gas, not having to negotiate the pumps around cars with the bird:thumbrt: BIG plus! And no worries about "low canopies" over the pumps. :thumbrt: Jeff

Westbound the prevailing winds are from the west. Plus you're on a pretty steady climb till you get to the Continental Divide crossing the Plains. As mentioned, with the large frontal area of our 5th wheels even a 5 - 10 mph headwind will affect the MPG. I usually tow around 5 mph slower with a head...

Our destination for the next Washington trip - in 4 years. Sis and I decided our next get together should be in NorCal, Southern Oregon in 2014. They want to explore further afield. Our family has always had "Itchy Feet!" :lol:

We lived in the S.F. Bay area for years, and go there 4 or 5 times a year still, so, from plenty of experience commuting and pulling trailers in the area I advise getting off 101 and avoiding San Francisco and the Peninsula entirely pulling a trailer. Construction, congestion, accident and then more...
