Re: GM/Dodge trucks

Ram is the only manufacture to use the SAE towing guide lines. For it's full line up in 2014. What they say is what it is .l am sure Chevy and Ford will follow soon.

Re: Ford 350 Vibration On Takeoff with Trailer

I have the same thimg pn my new Ram. My 06 had really bad axle wrap and my son fabricated a pair of traction bars for the rear axle. They worked great! You could hammer it from a dead stop and head into a turn an it would just go no slip, no wrap just power to the ground. I never had a vibration or ...

Re: Purchased a new Ram

Yes they use def be happy about that . It has allowed the engine makers to put out more powerful engines that run cooler. LessEgr fewer regens and you never have too take it in to get the dpf cleaned out. Buy it at truck stops if you can the have it in bulk at the pump and it is about half the cost ...

Re: Purchased a new Ram

Congrats on your new Ram . Cummins engines require no break in . I have had 6- 15 liter engines and 2 -5.9s. Just get in and drive. They recommend that you tow as much as possible because the parts polish in quicker and your mileage will go up. The six spd transmisson will drag you over those hills ...

Re: Went "All In" On New Tow Vehicle

Very nice looking truck. don't worry about the 342 gearing that was a concern of mine also. The 6 speed tranny and that engine will get you up and over any hill you come across. my 06 had 430 gears and my 14 will pull the same hill which is about a 3 mile 6 to 7% grade 10 miles per hr faster up the ...

I agree with George if you want to feel good about your mpg watch the computer. If you want to deal with reality watch the pump!

Re: Transfer Flo

I got the black tank with the $150 bed spray option. Well worth it if you have a sprayed in bed liner ,blends right in with the bed of the truck so you really don't even notice it. Free ice cream and a factory tour if you ask. :thumbrt:

Re: BIO

Cummins also says 5% unless set up to use up to 20% whatever that entails. I have put up to 20% in my semi which has a cumm. I always add Howes to my fuel and have never had a problem with water or power. with bio you do not seem to get as good fuel mileage but I would not spend to much time dwellin...
