Re: Auto Flex Air Suspension

We'll wait and see what the ride is like when the new truck comes in, but if it's to bad we might. It's a pricey system and we'll want to do some research before we did anything.

The dealer tells us the truck should be in the end of August.

Auto Flex Air Suspension

Has anyone tried the Auto Flex air suspension system? http://www.autoflexsuspensions.com We would like to improve the ride in the truck, especially when not pulling. We have a new truck on order and on our old truck has air bags, they work great to level the truck, but not a lot to improve the ride....

Mackinaw Bridge

Saturday we saw a Cardinal heading north on the Mackinaw Bridge about noon. About an hour later saw another one north bound on I 75.

Re: Truck Air Bags?

Jim, I installed them on 2012 6.7 CCLB King Ranch and I am glad that I did. The truck rode level without the bags, what I was trying to do was get ride of the shudder on takeoff while pulling and they took care of it. Now I can pull off without any shudder, I keep 20# in mine and that allows the pi...

Truck Air Bags?

How many of you are using some type of air bags on your truck? I have them now, but the new truck we are now looking at has 20” tires and is higher than our present truck. I’m thinking that if I don’t use air bags that the pin weight will level the truck out so the trailer is riding level. We are lo...

Re: Short Bed Without A Slider Hitch?

We have a short bed with a slider hitch and I was backing without using the slider and have a nice dent on the driver side of the cap :( Any time I am backing close to a 90 degree I use the slider. Not a big deal once you get use to it :!: I was wondering if you have an extended pin or not on your ...

Short Bed Without A Slider Hitch?

Is anyone using a short bed truck without a slider hitch? Reason I ask is we are exploring getting a new truck and would like a crew cab with a short box. We’re using an air hitch that is not a slider and really like it and would like to keep it. We also have and extended pin on the trailer that giv...

Re: 19.5 Commercial Tires For A Pick Up

Thanks Bruce Jane and I got back home last week and we're looking at either getting a new truck or putting money into what we have. If we keep what we have and put some money into it in many respects it will be better for pulling a fiver than a new one. I'm thinking of using Rancho adjustable air sh...

19.5 Commercial Tires For A Pick Up

I’m looking at the advantages and disadvantages of using the 19.5 commercial tires on my single rear wheel truck. I understand the advantages of greater load capacity. My question is how bad does the ride suffers by going this route? My wife has some health issues that get compounded if she gets bou...

4 wheel drive-versus rear wheel drive

Living in Minnesota 4 wheel drive trucks rule especially at selling time. But in the winter we are out of there and I’ve only used the 4-wheel drive a few times on our present truck. I’m thinking of getting a rear wheel drive on our next truck, not sure if they still make positive traction, but that...

Re: Brake Controller

Well the Chevy dealer just called and our truck is fixed. Didn’t know this, under the passage seat is a wiring harness and the part that controls the trailer brakes was pulled out, lights worked but not the brakes.

If it happens again, I know where to look.

Re: Brake Controller

Sorry Mike, I was interested in knowing which brake controller you are using in your truck to connect to your trailer. When we ordered our Chevy we got the trailer package with the GM Brake Controller. It’s been working fine until today. We have Kodiak Disk brakes on the trailer and it was working w...
