Re: Brake Controller Controversy in New Zealand

I put a http://maxbrake.com/ on and have not regretted it one bit. I now get smooth stops on the roads that have a "washboard" surface just before the stop sign. The same road would drive my old inertia type controller crazy. It sounds like some of our bureaucrats have moved your way. They...

Re: High tire temperatures

My curbside also runs a little hotter but I figured it was because the exhaust pipe exits on that side. Must be a combination of all of the above.

Re: MAX BRAKE Controler

Yes. I installed it myself and absolutely love it. There is a section of road that we frequently use that has a bad washboard effect as you approach the stop sign. It would drive my previous controller crazy and result in everything from no trailer brakes all the way through locking the wheels. The ...

I59 North of Hattiesburg, MS

Saw a bird with the newer color scheme headed northbound on I59 between Hattiesburg and Laurel, Mississippi on March 7 about 1:30pm. It was a 5W being pulled by a dark colored pickup.

Re: Skype

I haven't done much in other programs but I did notice that any telephone number that showed up in my Firefox browser would have the little Skype symbol at the end of it. I guess you could just click on it and it would dial. I followed your suggestion but only had one add-on extension. I disabled it...

Re: Skype

You are welcome. Sometimes good things come from desperate means. Now if I can get our DD to get on Skype my mission will be complete. I bought some Skype Credits to use when calling a regular telephone and the sound quality is very good. I figure the DW can talk for an hour for about the same price...

Re: Skype

I got to talk to a family member today on Skype and it worked pretty good. My wi-fi connection seems a little slow but I had good audio and grainy video with the full screen mode. I bought some Skype credits and had great quality when calling home to check for phone messages.

Skype

Does anyone use Skype http://www.skype.com/welcomeback/ for talking or video? I am working towards getting it set up so DW can talk to her DD without killing our cell phone bill. It looks like this could also be a free way to have virtual rallies among Cardinal RV Club members. Just a thought

Any Input For Sleepy Hollow RV Park by Laurel, MS

Does anyone have input regarding this campground? I'm getting set up to spend the remainder of this crappy winter there trading work for the campsite. Just curious before I sign the contract. Using the camping information links posted by Luizianna I found 1 rating (6 out of 10) in 2003. I think it i...

Re: Using Kitchen Sink in -20C

I'm not sure how your bird is set up but be careful that when you are switching the tank heater "on" for the galley tank, that you are not also activating the heater for the fresh (or any other) water tank. There are other posts on this subject and this is one reason that I put a separate ...

Re: Why hasn't the cost of motor oil fallen?

Ditto with rosey's opinion. When I moved to a diesel the fuel cost more but the MPG went up making it a wash. It looks like I have basically the same vehicle except mine is the single rear wheel.

Re: Cardinal Second Home

The Cardinal as a second home turned out to be a blessing for us also. We were planning on spending the summer in our camper anyway but didn't think it would be in our own driveway. We are 4 miles from the Mississippi river and ended up with water in the bottom of our floor joist. Spent about 3 week...
