Re: cross wind
Glad you made it without problems. I towed back from upstate NY several years ago. The wind was pretty strong, there were times that my 7.3 Ford would only maintain 65mph towing a 39' fiver. It was not fun at all.

Re: LEASE a 3500-F350
I have never leased a vehicle, I know people that do and while they have it they just "drive it" and nothing more. I can say that I purchased a leased vehicle one time and had serious engine problems with less than 70,000 miles. I don't feel that there would be a large resale market for a ...

Looks like you found a permanent cure for that check engine light. You won't be disappointed with the new 6.7.

Re: Workkamping
We have a very nice ACOE campground here, Bulltown Camp, It is very clean and in a good location for summer work camping. They are usually looking for help. They have a special isolated camping area for the workers. Just wanted to let you guys know, it would be close to home for both of you. Check i...

Re: Best Short Box Hitch? Auto Slide?
You may never need a slider as long as you are always on level ground when backing up. The problem is backing and turning when the angle of the road changes. When the truck is level and the trailer starts up an incline you are at high risk of the trailer and cab of the truck hitting each other. This...

Re: Who has gone from a long boxTV to a short box?
Do you miss that true diesel sound? I have to admit that I did for a while. The 6.0 really had a nice turbo whine.

Re: Who has gone from a long boxTV to a short box?
I don't know what to say about a hitch. I haven't found a slider that I like. I am considering the Andersen Ultimate. It looks to be the one that I would be able to get out of the truck without getting a hernia. =)) Cost and weight are the only advantages I see with the Andersen. Disadvantages are ...

Re: Who has gone from a long boxTV to a short box?
I have had more long bed trucks than short. Two of the long beds were crew cab duallys. I now have a crew cab short bed 350. Sometimes I miss the long bed, I call these short bed trucks "wheel barrows" but I still prefer the short bed with the crew cab, it is much easier to get around town...
