Re: Ford Super Duty SYNC - Vehicle Condition Report

That sounds like a job for the aftermarket programmers to add a function that keeps the "VCR" on. It also sounds like a scam on Ford's or the dealer's part to make you pay again for something that you already paid for.

Just my 2 cents.

Re: Extended Warranties?

Like any insurance, you are buying peace of mind. Also like any insurance you need to read the fine print to see what is really covered and most importantly, what is not covered. I had a extended warranty on my previous truck that I purchased through the internet. I bought the truck new so I was abl...

Working on a plan now to fit the Smart Car on one and then still hitch the trailer. Do ya'll think I can get by without investing in air bags? :ymcowboy: Put the Gentle Giant on a dolly and pull the whole thing with a Toyota. =)) Actually I'm surprised Toyota hasn't hit the market with a 1 ton pick...

Re: Winterizing your home

In addition to the above tips we gather all the house plants in one spot so our friends that watch after the house can water them easily. We have a nice deal worked out with a couple that watch after the house, gather/ sort our mail from the PO Box and mail the important stuff to us with a flat rate...

Re: towing and runnig the refrigerator

I run mine on gas while towing. Sometimes crosswinds will blow the fire out so I always check the "check" light when we stop for breaks.

There are pros and cons to running with an LP tank turned on but it boils down to what you want to do.

Re: Brake Controllers

I've had a MaxBrake for several years now and it is great. Since it installs in the brake line and varies the output depending on how hard you are pushing on the brake pedal, you don't have to worry about the control being level.

Re: Fort Morgan CO

You might try searching for mobile home parks instead of campgrounds. They may allow short terms and would have full hookups with plenty of electric that I am sure Doug could figure out a way to hook up to. The chamber of commerce might be of some help also.

Re: Springtime and before driving checklists

One of the things I do after the wheels have been off is re-torque the lug nuts after I get the 'Bird home, a trip of 80 miles. Break each one loose, and torque it to the correct ft/lb using the "Star" pattern. Just putting the torque wrench on a lug nut, without breaking it loose first d...

Mississippi Hwy 90 Near I10 Exit 2

Bird spotted heading West on hwy 90/607 between Waveland, Mississippi and Interstate 10. Maybe a mid 2000 5th wheel and kinda white Ford? around 11:00 am. Possibly The sailor.
