Re: Diamond T Update - Dennis Balfanz
One big feature to keep in mind, and makes me appreciate Dennis’ talent; the original truck was a 2 door standard cab. He found a second truck, cut it apart, married them to create the dual cab and stretched the frame to accommodate the modifications. I think the yellow badge between the doors “Cust...

Re: BG245
I am not familiar with the product. The need to change filters after is interesting. It must really clean the pipes. It seems like it is meant as an occasional/one time cleanse rather than an additive used at fuel stops. I think if we purchase clean algae free, water free fuel from good dealers we w...

Re: New Truck ordered today
Wow! How many miles on the “old” one. It looks brand new. Dodge beefed up horsepower and torque last year. The new one will out perform the old one, if that seems possible. Can’t wait to see it.

Re: 4WD or 2WD vehicle???
Mike, That is true about most things. That is why our trailers are so heavy. LOL.
I have been stuck before, on the Outer Banks of North Carolina, in sand sunk to the axle . It was not fun. Oh yes, the trailer was hitched up when I did it. Cindy wouldn't push it either.

Re: 4WD or 2WD vehicle???
I have a 2 wheel drive. I have no need for 4x4 or the expense and maintenance involved. As far as payload, the salesman was correct. A 4X4 has a 500 or 600 lbs. less payload rating because the weight of transfer case and front axle makes the truck that much heavier. Consequently they reduce the payl...

Naw Marv. They looked like they might be headed south for the Winter, hence, "Snow Birds". I live in "S___" Bird land.

Elkhart RV Park is nice also. It is located in town, close to things. FYI, the area has hard water.

Re: Was that you
Rick, Do you mean Dave Palmer? Sounds like Richard Bettis was not far behind. They were both eastbound after the rally.
Dave, How did Richard’s custom roof look after a day on the road?

Re: Was that you
I doubt if any rally folks made it Amarillo way by this morning when you saw them Rick. Certainly not Santa. He was landing near Albuquerque. Many were Colorado bound. It was a great rally by the way.

Re: Slight Vibration
Earnie is on a good idea. Much simpler to replace than my answer. You asked about something ahead of the transmission. Those all require removing the transmission just to inspect. The Carrier bearing is midway on the driveshaft and can be inspected by crawling under the truck. It supports a long sty...
