Another cudo for good sam ERS. had a flat tire on my boat trailer, I changed it, but it was low on air. So I call ERS and they provided air. I don't know what the charge would be, but i'll be $100 for the ERS paid most of it! I'll renew.

I have a 2007 31RKLE. I love mine too, but have some caveats for you. I have the pull out pantry. My maiden voyage had all the shelves fall to the floor of the cabinet. So, I got some commercial Velcro (at the RV Rally) and cut white strips which are nearly invisible to hold the shelves in. Since th...

One thing else I do is use a very small screwdriver and gently push it into the switch on either retract or extend and let it run. Of course, I have to be careful NOT to forget it! But, it allows me to do lots of other hitching/un items while waiting!

I use 2 x 8 pieces of wood, and 1 x 8's also. I also have thinner 1 x 8's for final jack leveling. I drop the jacks down, look side to side to see if they are nearly level, then put the proper thickness board to make the jacks hit the boards at about the same time. It made a difference to how well t...

Big slide problem update (again :-(

I had posted a thread about my slide coming in too far at the top, and not far enough at the bottom. Here's the latest. Mine must have been built on a Friday afternoon, with a keg of beer awaiting the workers! My dealer has contacted Forest river on it, adjusted it so if fit properly. I took it home...

Hi folks: I've been away fishing (22 Chinook's with the kids and friends) in Canada and am finally getting back on the computer. I did put on the spare as you suggested. The trip went fine--no tire problems on the 5er (boat trailer, yes, but not 5er!) When I got the tire off with the tread piece mis...

Karrier tire tread issue--

I've been reading the Chinese tire posting here. My Cardinal has probably 6000 miles on the Karrier's now. I noticed a small piece of tread missing after my last trip to yellowstone--probably just smaller than a dime, and in the tread only--probably down 3/8" deep. I've heard others have had th...

I would love to buy a booth and take out the table and chairs that came with mine. Locking the chairs is a bother, and they scratch the walls if you dont. Plus the lack of sleeping space.

Like I said, ours came with the tables/chairs. I would gladly switch!

I just traveled 2400 miles. When I got home I too had a small chunk of rubber gone from the tread. My air pressure limit says 80 PSI. The tires never felt hot, just warm.

Update on water fill airlock

Man--I couldn't get more than 8 gallons in the tank--opened all drain pipes, blew air (as you suggested) thru vent, EVERYTHING I could think of and still only 8 gallons (I measured it in a bucket later). Then I thought, I never have used the outside shower--maybe an airlock there--BINGO--turned on t...

airlock when filling water tank?

on my 31RK, I sometimes get an airlock (I think) when trying to fill the fresh water tank. The dealer said to unscrew the drain pipes, and it seemed to work, but I couldn't get it to accept water yesterday. Backed up out the spout! Does anyone else have this problem? Best fix? Thanks. Mark

No, where do I get one? Would the rally booth's have one? I'll be in Lot C. The bird's license starts with 26. (safety). I should be there around 7 am for the best possible parking--hope hope. mark

Hi Rob: We're going to the Redmond RV rally, then on to Yellowstone. Were you the one who was going to be at the rally? If so, maybe i'll see you there--we're early birders--in fact (stupid me) i'm leaving here at midnight to be able to arrive on site by 7:00 am to get the best spot. I understand it...

Should I pump grease the zirks?

My new 31RK has maybe 5000 miles on it. We're towing another 2500 miles starting next week. I heard I'm good for at least the first 10000 miles. Does anyone think I should at least put 2-4 pumps in each wheel zirk?
