Re: Good year G614 tires on new Cardinal wheels

Dave,
If I am correct are you wanting to sell 4 Goodyear G rated tires that are 1.5 years old and to mounted on your New 2015 wheels for $1,500.

You must be looking to upgrade to 17.5 wheels and tires.

Re: Truck Bed Height

Brian, I checked some measurements on my 3850RL 2014 trailer, at a level position the bottom of the upper under belly is 64" to the ground, this tells me if you adjust your hitch correct you would have 5" clearance between the truck bed rails and the bottom of trailer. Things do change whe...

Re: Truck Bed Height

I can tell you if your truck is higher then the factory height with after market 22.5 wheels and tires or if you have a lift kit you are going to have a height problem. The Cardinals already have the axles mounted above the springs for Max trailer height, if you lower the beds 5th wheel hitch you wi...

Re: Trailer sway

Try to test pull another 5th wheel from your dealer, this would tell you if the problem is the truck or trailer.

Re: 2013 Chevy 3500 Dually

I would say you have a very good case for demanding warranty repairs, they had all the tools to inspect and review past history before selling.

Re: 2013 Chevy 3500 Dually

Did you buy it from a GM dealer, or private owner ? I can tell you the dealers can tell everything thats has been done to the truck from the computer system, timing changes, transmission shift patterns, RPM's during driving loads, etc. Now days no one can hide chip use or bad driving practices after...

Re: towing with a 2500HD

Very nice looking truck, you made a good decision to go with a DRW, the 3850RL is heavy and wants to push and pull the TV when loaded for a long trip on bad highways most all states have.
Air Ride hitch or pin box works well on these heavy units.

Re: Tow Vehicle for Cardinal 3450RL

The 3450 is a very large heavy trailer and the hitch weight will end up higher then listed.
I would go with a diesel for sure, your fuel use will save you money while the power to pull.

Re: CELEBRATION and a WANTED item!

That's great Donna, we became very good friends with the couple that purchased our 2006 Cardinal, it is nice seeing and sitting in the 2006 Cardinal we sold. We have a trip planned to Winchester Bay with them, they got a great deal on a like new trailer and I got higher then retail book value when I...

Don't put the cost of the RV & Truck into the sheet or cost of repairs and maintenance.
I could travel around the world until I die many times a year, but I enjoy camping.

Re: towing with a 2500HD

Here are ratings for the 2012 HD trucks 2500 and 3500. Match up you truck to the rating, I am not saying you cannot use your truck but many trucks on the road are overload and you will be over the ratings after the trailer is loaded and ready for travel. Many do it and sleep well, I on the other han...
