Draining 34QS Freshwater Tank

I'm trying to figure out how to drain my freshwater tank on our new 34QS...........There is a T- handle Valve back in the vicinity of the Tank......would the water simply drain into the sewer outlet??......dosen't seem very sanitary to me if this is the case.

When I ordered my 34qs my salesman advised me to order with the optional hydraulic landing gear system......saying that it would be much faster and durable. I'm glad that I took his advice...he was correct!!. Are you folks having the problem with the electric or hydraulic landing gear systems??
