I just had to replace the Def tank, pump and heater in my F350 because (I think) I topped off my DEF tank with about 1/2 gallon of DEF that was a year old. The technician believes the old DEF crystallized and froze the DEF pump, increasing pressure within the DEF tank and resulting in the tank ruptu...

This will come in handy when I can’t locate a diesel station with my TSD card. I looked up Durango and Cortez…not much cheap diesel there (realizing this statement is relative, not being from Calif,).

Randy, I did go ahead a change to Andersen hitch in May 2022, selling my SuperGlide. I have had no problems and pulled about 5000 miles over 55 days. There a spot shortages of Def and Diesel in eastern TN, also Raleigh area. Truck stops appear ok

Don, just a thoughts…have you noticed any changes in the DEF regen frequency signaling a problem with EGRs or the Diesel Particulate Filter?

It appears this only affects those RVers that use ACA for health insurance. Those on Medicare or other healthcare plans are not mentioned.

Not good news for anyone considering a new truck. Definitely will increase sales of F350 and Rams.

Dave, what year was your old truck and how many miles did it have on it?
Did you get a better trade than you expected because of the shortage of used vehicles?

For those who want to stay in the SLC area we have had great luck staying at Springville/Provo KOA. Off the interstate enough to limit noise and easy pull throughs. Generally we are not KOA fans but this works for us when transiting the SLC area
