Re: Towing in Mountains

Mountains aren't bad.....unless driving thru Hill City and Rushmore during Sturgis Rally dates. Bikes were all over the place, just like gnats and I was praying I didn't need the shoulder or a pullout because they were FULL of bikes. I didn't realize so many bikes existed.

Re: Dodge 3500

That is a reaffirming opinion for me, Mr. Skidmark. Making our decision on Tuesday and always have the doubt that extra $$$$$$$$$$ won't produce much benefit.

Re: I hate to admit it but......

I too buy Cummins and they are only available in a Dodge enclosure. Ford and Chevy should just bow down and do the same. :P

Dodge 3500

Contemplating a new Dodge 3500, Cummins, with wide hips. We currently have an '03 Dodge 200 with the Cummins. Has anyone owned both that can give me a good description of the differences I will see?

Re: Montana RV Parks

We are in the Grizzly park as planned. Very clean park, very efficient, more motor coaches here than I thought ever built. It is a grandpa and grandma style park with few amenities for children. But our family all made it here in good shape. And it is also thunderstorming quite well at the moment. A...

Re: Montana RV Parks

Can yo move that rally up to this late July? All my kids are bringing their campers and we will be hanging out at the Grizzly RV park. We were there years ago, 34 to be exact, and looking forward to returning. My wife realized she was pregnant with our eldest at Yellowstone, and now we will return w...

Re: Mt Rushmore / Black Hills

Well, not able to go to Rushmore area except in July. All of our kids, my sister and son are meeting there for a week. So we are looking for a good, clean campground with wi-fi. Any experiences with that time of year?

Yeah, victory gards! Or is it Defeat Gardens.

As some politician said lately, we fought the war and China got the oil.

Tell me to quit whining, I just don't like politicians looking out for their own good.

Save all your bbq drippings, when you have enough to make a tank of bio-diesel, travel until you are out, then camp until you have enough again.
Slow trip, but just make sure you are going downhill all the time.

I do all the steering, the copilot gives full time instructions on speed (if below the limit....why aren't you going faster; if above the limit......you will get a ticket), when to brake...(Careful! they are slowing down a mile ahead), traffic hazards and of course the rest area watch. I must admit ...
