Re: Tires

If you are not in an area where the extra traction of the BFGs is needed you might consider the Michlin LTX MS they provide decent traction in mud and snow, wear well, and give a smooth ride. Sam's carries them as well as your local tire store, Sears has their version of them as well. Price will pro...

Re: 2008 Ford F 250 power stroke questions

Grape Escape, From what you've said I am assuming that the truck you were wanting to buy was a SRW 4X4 is that right? If so aren't you going to have the same problem with a 3/4 ton, especially since the Ford 3/4 ton and 1 ton are basically the same truck with the overload springs being the main diff...

Re: Swivel wheel trailer

Bruce,
You might try one of those covers they make for the ATVs the XXL size might cover you bike and a grill cover might work on the trike. We use one on my wife's scooter when we're pulling with the pickup.

Re: Swivel wheel trailer

I'll be interested to hear how your's does. My wife has a handicap scooter that we carry with us and it's a real pain if we stop at a mall or tourist spot and I have to unload it for her. I have to unhitch the trailer. We looked at one on line and they sent us a brochure. A little pricey but may wel...

Re: How many gassers do we have here?

I think I like pulling with the diesel best, the fuel mileage is better but as was pointed out earlier the better mileage is offset by other necessary cost. The broader ranger of power is sure nice, the Ford has to down shift on grades that the Dodge doesn't even seem to be straining on. Can't pull ...

Re: How many gassers do we have here?

I'd like to jump in on this gas v diesel thing. We've got one of each that we pull with. We have an 05 Ford Excursion with the V-10, 4-speed auto trans (cause Ford did not upgrade the Excursion like they did the pickups) Last trip pulling our old 29' Holiday through the mountains of New Mexico we go...
