Re: 2008 Chev Duramax 3500

I checked the window sticker on my truck and it says the truck has an option for low battery protection, I checked the Chev web site and cant find any ref to what that means. Do you disconnect your trailer plug when you stop for the night when on the road, seems you could run down the battery in yo...

Re: Massachusetts registration info

OK, first let me say I don’t know Mass law. Secondly, as a retired law enforcement officer, if the county clerk (or who ever issues the plates) issues a plate based on the weight of the vehicle or its intended purpose then Joe the law dude can’t say squat! They may require you to put “Not for Hire” ...

Re: Tailgates, Wings and MPG

I know you don't live where the wind blows sand. Any idea how the cover would stand up in an area where the air is full of dirt several days a year? I like the idea of the lockable cover but don't want to by a maintenance problem. Thanks, Bill Good question. I know when we lived in FL sand was alwa...

When I purchase my truck there was not a fuse for it in the fusebox. GM saved thousands by not installing it. :ymdevil:

Re: Tailgates, Wings and MPG

I thought about a slotted tailgate but I gave it up for a “Pace BedLocker”.

I just close it up to the hitch. When I'm not towing I can close it and cover the hitch and anything else I may have in the bed. :thumbrt:

Re: what are you towing with

We have a Chevy 3500 diesel. We like the extra power especially when it comes to mountain climbing and the dual wheels seem to give it a little more stability and comfort. :thumbrt:

Re: Duramax Fuel Filter Housing Problem

The 2006-07 have a plastic sensor that screws into the bottom of the filter. If it is over tightened (like one Chevrolet dealer did to me) it will crack and allow the filter to empty. Seems that the tech tightened the sensor with a pair of channel locks instead using the proper tool. :x The dealersh...
