Re: COVID 19 information for camping

California RV parks are pretty well shut down and currently they are not set to reopen until May 1 at the earliest. They have even pushed back the trout season opening here. New Mexico has shutdown all of the state parks and the Governor of New Mexico has given no indication when they will be allowi...

Re: Diamond T Update - Dennis Balfanz

One thing he brought up in our conversation is he is having difficulty with the seals that go around the head lights. The person who used to make the seals retired so he had to send them to another guy and it took three years before he got them and they did not fit. In order to make the new ones the...

Diamond T Update - Dennis Balfanz

I had a conversation with Dennis Balfanz earlier this week and during the conversation I asked about the status of the Diamond T and he offered to send me a few pictures so I could update the Cardinal Members. Here is a view of the front of the Diamond T https://photos.smugmug.com/Misc-Downloads/i-P...

Re: BG245

I am not familiar with the product. The need to change filters after is interesting. It must really clean the pipes. It seems like it is meant as an occasional/one time cleanse rather than an additive used at fuel stops. I think if we purchase clean algae free, water free fuel from good dealers we ...

BG245

I saw an article on the BG 245 fuel system additive that cleans out the injector tube and injectors. It also claims to clean out the fuel pumps, and lines as well and you need to change the fuel filters shortly after running it through the system as it cleans all the build ups that diesel creates. I...

Re: New Truck ordered today

The operations manager said it was an inexpensive process but did not give details but the trucks the converted were all newer trucks less than 4 years old,

Re: Expect a dramatic rise in cost of diesel in the next yea

Biodiesel is starting to become available on a larger scale and several cement companies here in California have converted half of their fleets over and Amtrak California has converted several of its engines as well and both have been pleased with the results.. The only issue right now is there are ...

He didn't go into fuel filters I wonder how different they are from brand to brand? I also only use WIX fuel filters on my Cummins.

Re: 2500 or 3500

My feelings are that with the 3030 you would be maxed out with the hitch weight with the 2500.
Personally with that few miles I would stay with the 3500. I am still pulling with my 06 3500 with 193,000 miles and will hopefully get 75,000 miles or more out of it.
