Re: Wheel Loss

Jeff, We had the same thing happen to us back in 2012, only we were traveling at 65mph on a 7 lane section of interstate hwy approaching Atlanta. Fellow pulled along side and told me the trailer was smoking, I had to cross 4 lanes to get to an exit. I got off the interstate and found a wide spot whe...

Re: Bad day yesterday for my tv

Mike the emisions system has a different type of warranty, might be worth checking. I was in a shop earlier this week and they had a sign prominately displayed about the federal regs about exhaust modifications. I know performance problems are not fun, I had a Banks air intake system and exhaust on ...

Re: Bad day yesterday for my tv

Mike if you are having problems with the DPF and only have 70K mile it should be covered under warranty. Sure beats the cost of those kits and/or the fine.

Re: Bad day yesterday for my tv

This would be a good time to drop in a 6.7.

Donna, you DID tell them about the Club didn't you? If they are that close you need to work on them.

Re: Dually MPG

We went to Amarillo last weekend and I averaged 11.3 for the trip, of course we had a tail wind going up and no wind coming home. Normal pulling seems to be in the 10.5 to 10.9 range, not quite as good as the '06 Dodge, but close and I sure like the extra power. :)

Re: Trailer sway

Have you gotten your truck tires replaced yet? Since Ford dealers have been pushing tires lately I would think they should take care of the tire problem. Of course Discount tire sure has been helpful to me.

Re: Dually MPG

How many miles you got on the dually now Mike? I know my '06 Dodge didn't top out on the mpg until I got over 30k on it. I'm hoping the same happens with this Ford. I should get to 30k while we're on the FROG/Southern/National rally trip. I think the quality of fuel available also makes a difference...

Re: Over 40 ft Trailers and State Laws

Strange they would make it a 40' max trailer length since most semi-trailer rigs are now pulling 53' trailers now. I think the 65' max 2 vehicle length is almost universal, which makes it puzzeling at to how the commercial guys can pull doubles and/or tripples.

Re: Scratch In Our New Truck

I had been through this bank drive thru before and had not had a problem. The form box had been moved towards the lane and that's what got me in trouble.

Glad you got it done, I think the bed line option is a good idea. You'll love the extra range.

Re: Transfer Flo

UTCardinal, If you're concerned about scratches in the black powdercoat, then I would recommend you opt for one of the spray in bed liner coated tanks. T black powdercoat will scratch. Unless you have other items in the shiny chrome/aluminum diamond plate on you truck I think the aluminum is a waste...
