Re: Curt 24K Hitch
I have the Curt 20K and love it. I use a regular grease gun with out problems at the beginning of each season. The jaws will close manually to reach the center fiting, spray all the springs and areas of movement with Boeshield T-9 and grease the hitch pin to help when it enters the jaws. I don't use...

Re: CCUSA and Passport America
We have CCUSA and are trying to find them on our route next year. Working around their limitations like minimum stay and no reservations. We like the savings for sure

Re: Fuel Stops
Well I'm like Don I enjoy the planning as much as the trip. Since I have a V10 and a 30 gal tank I look for gas every 200 miles. Not all truck stops will accommodate my unit at their gas pumps. We look for pumps that are parallel or diagonal to the station and an exit. Have not had a problem with ov...

Re: Removing Hitch From Truck Bed
I placed a triple 2x4 across the trusses and a come-a-long then lower it to a base with casters and roll it away. My Curt base is too heavy to lift by hand. Looking at a 120V power hoist.

Re: State Route 119 WV
119 was better than the WV TP. Hard to find RV friendly gas stations :? (about 200 miles between fill ups)Topped off gas on 23 then near Charleston. Not many places to take a break. Having said that we would take that route again. Like you said smoother, no tolls, about the same time and nice senic ...

Re: 5th wheel hitch
We had ours in to the dealer for some other work and asked if they could cut the pin box to keep it from hitting the bed rail. They called FR and was told that the diagonal wings on the back could be cut but not the horizontal on the bottom. The diagonal was cut similar to what John did and it works...

Re: Two Cardinals North on I77
I saw that route but wasn't sure so we stayed on I77. We will try going home on 119. I like smoother roads and no tolls. Thanks for the info. We make this trip every couple of years

Two Cardinals North on I77
First one was Northbound in WV, white truck with what looked like Cardinal style decals on the truck.
Second one was Northbound in VA, Blue truck. We tend to get excited when we see another Cardinal on the road.

Re: 2 WD vs 4 WD
I use the 4x4 a lot in winter. I pull a tool trailer and often need to switch the 4x4 on. We had to use it once camping when we were leaving a site in NC had to make a sharp left turn up a gravel road and the rear tires slipped so I fliped the switch and kept going till I was headed down. Also had a...

Re: curt Q5 20K hitch
We have the Curt and like it. It is our first 5er and cannot compare it, but I like the way it comes apart for removal. As we travel I can watch the 5er moving but no movement in the truck and no chucking. I use my bed all the time for work and the bed plates are only about 3/4" high so I use s...

Bird Heading East on I 76
Saw a bird with a white truck turning East on to I 76 from Rt 43 near Kent, Ohio. We were excited to see the Cardinal and supprised/jealous at this time of year.
