Markj: Are folks overacting to your post. You didn't say anything about tread separation just a small dime size piece of rubber from the tread. Sounds like you probably hit something on the road. I know there has been some Chinese tire problems but these things get completely out of hand sometimes. ...

Took Delivery of New 2008 34QS Yesterday

New Cardinal 34QS arrived at dealer last Friday and we took delivery yesterday afternoon. We have had many RV's and traded in a 2000 Cardinal 32CKT but this total transaction has been the best we have ever experienced. It has only been six weeks since we ordered so delivery time was excellent. When ...

After we brought our 2000 Cardinal we were having trouble getting a signal. Called a grandson who at that time was a cable installer. He found the factory had reversed the connections on the back of the amplifier, hooking the satellite cable to the antenna connection and the antenna cable to the sat...

RotoChok - What Wonderful People

I sent an Email to Pearl at RotoChok last week asking if it would be OK to send a check to purchase a set of RotoChoks for our new trailer on order. Told her no hurry for delivery so she could hold check as long as she desired to make sure it cleared. She wrote back that in all the years they had be...

Olbird: According to your description it sounds like the extra $75 for the heat strip was money well spent. When I stated I wanted to get two Digital Thermostats I meant one for the main and one for the second in the bedroom. I now have a Hunter 42999B that I installed and just love it. I may just h...

Air Conditioner Heat Strip

When we ordered our 2008 34QS a few days ago we ordered the heat strip knowing it can only be used to remove a slight chill. I want to get two new Hunter Digital Thermostats to replace the OE and assume the heat strip is in no way tied in to the thermostats. We were at the dealership this morning do...

Traveler II I don't know what the difference is between the $1500 you were quoted and the $1000 suggested retail from my dealer. The dealer, I assume, can use any price he wants to, and the higher he builds the price the better his deal looks on the final figure. The list I have is not secret. It is...

Traveler II We ordered a new Cardinal 34QS today so let me throw some $$ at you for planning purposes. Like rest of the posters you will find that you have to have owned one or two RVs to find out what is important. We ordered lots of extras but for us the Thermo-pane windows $1000 and the second ai...

Cardinal Man and Rosey: Thank you for your replies. We ordered a new 2008 34QS this morning and Grandma got her Booth Dinette. I really liked the new chairs and table, but as they say, if Mama isn't happy no one is happy. We all have to give and take. I'm sure we will enjoy the new trailer regardles...

This is a supplement to my original post. I'm a little slow today. I did a search after the above post. We did not notice today that the new tables apparently now have an extension that can be pulled out. Also reading the search items it indicates the tables are now fastened to the floor. I gather t...

Dinette Booth vs Free Standing Table & Chairs

When we special ordered our 2000 32CKT we ordered the free standing table and chairs. Part was due to being able to turn the table with the slide out in and still squeeze through to get to the fridge. The other was we just thought we would like them better than the booth. We are now thinking about o...

Cardinal Man: Yes, B&B and just so happened I talked to Brian. We bought our present Cardinal from B&B but salesman was Jim Lewis who is no longer with them. I could probably live without the disc brakes but they are becoming much more poplar and I was really surprised they did not offer as ...

Can't Get Disc Brakes on New Cardinal From Factory

Stopped by and picked up a new brochure on new Cardinal 5th Wheel. Told salesman that any new unit would have to have double pane windows, second air cond, optional suspension and disc brakes. He said disc brakes were not available??? Do disc brakes have to be installed as an after market item?? Don
