Re: Short Box or Long Box

Mopar, We use a short bed pickup. Our trailer won't clear the cab in a sharp turn. We have an automatic sliding hitch, that I like very well. When I sign off, you will see just what we run. Dana is correct. Our tank is 35 gallons. If we want to go places without the trailer, it is convenient to driv...

Re: Winter Towing Question

If you are just concerned with the black tank, a big handful of rock salt will protect you from freezing down to near zero. That will allow you to use the toilet on the road. Roy & JoAnn

Re: Dodge Truck Recall

We had our air conditioner compressor lock up and fry the serpentine belt while we were in Goshen. I guess 252,000 miles is not too bad! We got some smoke, but no fire. When the belt gets dragged over a locked up pulley, it gets hot in a hurry! I can understand the fire issue with the water pump! It...

Re: Best Short Box Hitch? Auto Slide?

Les, we have a Pullrite Superglide, also. It sure is nice to not think about trailer / truck interference. The truck and trailer do have to be fairly close to straight alignment to hook or unhook. We have not had any real problems with that after eight years of use. We have always been able to jocke...

Aug. 6 Illinois, Indiana border on I-70 10:08 AM. Then Hwy 31 north of Indianapolis about 30 miles about 1:00 PM. Oddly, both Cardinals we met were going the wrong direction to attend the F.R.O.G. Roy & JoAnn

Look at the length of that torque wrench! How much torque do the head stud nuts get? I'm just curious. We had an automotive machine shop in Lee's Summit, Mo. That's what I retired from. I am really interested in your progress. Thanks for the pictures. Roy & JoAnn
