Re: Air Bags
Bill, Sharon, and Toby, Welcome to the club. I hope you find this post and it is helpful with your decision about air bags for your truck. I have a 3150 Cardinal with 3 slides and my pin weight is 2100# I pull it with a 2500 HD Chevy. When I hook it up it drops the truck about 2 inches. I noticed wh...

Re: Traveling highway 2 Michigan to Montana
I have driven 2 from Mi to Minot North Dakota and it is a great road as long as you're not in a hurry. The trip thru the U.P. is beautiful as is Duluth MN., Grand Rapids MN., The Bad River Indian Reservation in WI, and the flat vastness of North Dakota. I can't comment on campgrounds because my trip...

Re: airbags and airline antifreeze
I think you bring up a good point Rick. At work we had air brakes on our bucket trucks and we always had to use alcohol in the system when it got real cold. I think in your air bags there wouldn't be enough water in them to be concerned with. Similar to your the water tank and hot water heater in yo...

Out in the booneys
Spoted a Cardinal being pulled by a black Chevy daullie out in the farm land of the thumb of Michigan, west bound on Peck Road west of Peck and east of M-53 in Sanilac County MI. It was about 4:45 pm on Sat. 6/23/12. Nice looking rig

Welcome to the CRVC!! You've come to the right place.
Take a look at your tires and make sure they are in good shape and if they are Kenda, Carriers, or anything made in China make plans to get them changed ASAP.

Re: Dumb question on electrical hookup to truck
On my Chevy the plug was in the step bumper. The camper pigtail reached and worked good. A technician talked me into letting him put one in the back corner of the box and I really like it. It took him about 20 minutes to do. When I questioned how he'd done it so quick he said the pigtail just plugs ...

Re: Campground Memberships
So many options!!! So true!! You make alot of good points about the locations of the parks and their condition. I'm going to take your advise. Map out a trip and see if Campgrounds are availible where we would want them and check there WEB sites to try and get a better feel for their condition. We ...

Re: Campground Memberships
BUT, you have to use it to get the value. IF you stay at the same one or two parks all the time then its of no value. Good point John, I plan to use it mostly while traveling CG to CG. If there is a memberpark close to or destination then we would utilize the member parks when we can. This is a $99...

Re: Campground Memberships
Chris and Jeff, You both make good points about binding contracts. They state in the Q&A section of their WEB site that if you decide not to renew your membership but change your mind a few years later you can renew for $100 plus applicable renewal fees. It looks like it is more of a membership ...

We are looking for advice on a campground membership. We have gotten information for about three years now from a company called American Campground Memberships. They offer a program for $549 that gives you a "home" park plus Coast to Coast and Resort Parks International. It also gives you...
