Big Tree RV Resort

We recently spent the month of February at the above mentioned resort and would like to describe our experience. This resort is part of the Carefree network and is in Arcadia, Florida. It is within walking distance of several restaraunts, a Walmart, a Walgreens, a couple of produce stands and a smal...

Re: GM/Dodge trucks

We have the 2011 Dodge 3500 Ram with a full bed, full four-door cab and duallys. We have driven it about 36,000 miles in two years (this month). We have had no major problems. Others here can speak to all the technical aspects involved. (I suspect that we have pulled our bird at least a third of tho...

Re: Cypress Trail RV Resort

Looks great, from the location you standing looks like you have Lot 436 or 437. When are they planning to have the sites ready? The site map on the website is a little off. The developer increased the width of the sites from 30 to 35 feet in February and they don't have a new site map yet. We reser...

Cypress Trail RV Resort

Last Saturday, Ruth and I made a reservation on a lot at the Cypress Trail RV Resort near Fort Myers, FL, just off exit 139 on I-75. Once the resort is completed and the state grants a certificate of occupancy, we will have the opportunity to puchase the specific lot we reserved. We find appealing t...

Re: Toyota

Have you seen charity events where you get teams together to pull an airplane? We've seen a number of those advertised when we were in the DC area. So if a bunch of people can grab a tow rope and pull on an airplane, I can see how a truck could pull a space shuttle.

Re: Louvered Truck Tailgate

Mythbusters program tested these against factory tailgate up, tailgate down, tailgate removed and nylon webbing. The best mileage was obtained with the factory tailgate up. The best way to improve mileage (when not towing) is to use a tonneau cover. Most of the drag on a pick-up is caused by the va...

Job Box (Fuel Box)

I am thinking of getting a job box for the bed of our truck (Dodge 3500 dually). There are some with extra fuel storage available. Does anyone have any experience with these?

Bed Liner

I looking into getting a bed liner on our tow vehicle and I have no idea what is best. I went to a local linex dealer and they want $500 for a full size truck bed spray-in liner. Is that a fair price? I saw a spary-in liner kit at our local tractor supply place for about $70. If I were more handy, I...

Re: To DEF or not?

As a 2011 Dodge owner, I appreciate not having to deal with the DEF issue at all. I don't know anything about the technical specifications of the Ford vs Dodge. My own experience is that the Dodge pulls my 3640 well and I am satisfied with the purchase we made last year. (We have 21,000+ miles on th...
