Well I installed the bedsaver today, I have a Reese classic 16k hitch and the BXR4100 is supposed to be a perfect fit, (wrong) the bolt pattern on the bedsaver is different. I had to drill the holes out larger in order to make it line up with the hitch. It's done, all is well.

After alot of thought I have decided to keep my 2006 and not trade for a new powerstroke at this time, so I went through the engine and hopefully corrected the things that usually go bad on the 6.0. Decided to purchase a bedsaver since my terrible episode last year while in Wyoming, got the Blue Ox BXR4100 will install this weekend. One less thing to ruin alot of fun times.

All of the newer diesels are quieter, the older ones can't compare.

Holy smokes I speaketh the truth and look what happens, just kidding it's all fun. I agree, any of the brands look good pulling a Cardinal.

P.S. Yes, in 2011 Ford did outsell both GMC and Chebby combined.

Ford had another banner year outselling the other brands, check out the F150 stat (V6 vs V8) impressive. Ford really does have alot on the ball and it's showing up in sales.

I just replaced the original batteries on my 06 and I went back with Motorcraft, better battery and no more expensive than the ones that the parts houses carry.

I believe Ford does recommend an additive, Ford Chevy, VW,Audi all use the same injector pump now adays and probably would help to use the additive. I don't think the Ford pumps are anymore prone to fail then the next.

Matt, thanks for the info....is there a port to install a pressure gauge on the regulator and if so is it located on top of the engine? Sounds like I really need to check this on mine.

Everything I have read is that the new FORD 6 speed runs around 194* regardless of towing or not, my 6.0 5 speed runs a little cooler than that. I would have a concern about the 120* as that might be too cool. The Torqshift has a solenoid bypass valve on the cooler that opens at around 170* to allow...
