Re: sliding 5th wheel hitch
I have a short bed and sliding Curt hitch. I need to be on flat ground and straight for it to work the best. A quick short jerk with the gas pedal with the trailer brake on gets it moving. Good luck

We started tracking when we got the Cardinal and have 17,912 in three years with 50K on the truck which I use for work also. Hoping to increase the towing mileage and less for work

Re: Short Bed Without A Slider Hitch?
Don't think it is an extended pin, the pin is directly under the front of the cap.

Re: Short Bed Without A Slider Hitch?
We have a short bed with a slider hitch and I was backing without using the slider and have a nice dent on the driver side of the cap Any time I am backing close to a 90 degree I use the slider. Not a big deal once you get use to it

Catalytic Converter-Branson Rally
On the way to the Branson Rally my catalytic converter went out (extreme loss of power). Had it replaced under warranty :thumbrt: Prior to the replacement I was averaging 8 mpg (V10) and on the trip home traveling through NC, VA, WV my miliage increased to 8.7. My guess is the converter was fa...

Re: Tire problems?
We had a Marathon fail on a trip and replaced it. The Marathon tread was nearly half gone on the remaining tires after about 12K miles. This year I replaced all 5 with Michelin XPS RIBS. On the way to the Memphis Rally we noticed that the bird was towing better and felt more stable. Pricy but we fee...

Re: After Market Fuel Tanks
I agree with Mike, my new tank will be for my convenience. 60 plus gallons of gas will get me through a day's drive.
Then set up and go get gas, not having to negotiate the pumps around cars with the bird:thumbrt:

Re: After Market Fuel Tanks
I have been looking for an AUX cas tank for my V10. Transfer-Flow had one 30 for gas for around 2K shiped + installation :( So I was considering Jerry cans to add to my stock 30 gal tank  Found a custom gas tank shop in FL that is building me a 30 gal tank delivered for around $800. It will be...
