Re: Ford 2002 7.3 check engine light
Time to start looking for Ford 6.7 to pull that new trailer Jim. I know that 7.3 is supposed to be a great engine, but from the ones I've driven I like my 6.7 MUCH better.

Re: A/C quit working
Glad you got fixed Don. Sounds like your truck has about reached the point that it is nickle and dimeing you. Bout time to decide just how much more you can stand. Have you had to repair the transmission yet? Mine cost me $4500 and it still wasn't right. You may have to bite the bullet and start tru...

So glad the trailer finally sold. My brother-in-law was interested, but until he has fully recovered from his accident we really don't know just what he will be able to handle. Congratulations to the new owners, look forward to meeting the at a rally soon.

Re: F-350 Coolant Additive Question
Keith I get that message about every 12000 miles. I had the dealership check my level when I had the truck serviced last week, they said it was withing specs and did not add any, but like you found they did charge for the test strip. I had 49K on the truck at the time. Since I get the truck serviced...

Re: Who has gone from a long boxTV to a short box?
Chris, do you know if the bed liner is the spray in kind or one of those drop in units? If it's the drop in like I had in my '06 Megacab be very careful when getting in the bed cause they can be VERY slippery.

Re: Who has gone from a long boxTV to a short box?
The red is my favorite. Might as well get all the bells and whistles with it. Some of them seem to be just fluff, but once you've had them a while you'll wonder how you did without them. My choice would be the Megacab, I loved the extra room in the back seat and behind the back seat. I just wish the...

Re: Towing with 5th wheel
You need to be careful about loading that hitch, last year the guy at Lippert told me the frame is only 11 guage and won't support much. My hitch tore loose from the frame while traveling on the VERY rough I70 across Illinois while on the way to FROG last year.

Re: "Anniversary To Us"
Congratulations on the new Ford! Looks just like mine except you are missing the "Deer" guard on the front. I think you'll find that it will be a VERY nice puller for your Bird. My 2012 does real well and I understand they upped the horsepower, torque, and brakes on the 2015. All the elect...

Re: AARP Health Insurance
As Don said you do need to check with your doctors AND very important, check the part D (Rx) insurance to make sure you current prescriptions are covered and at which tier they are covered. Different companies cover different meds differently. Good luck finding plans that work best for you.

Re: 2005 cardinal 33" trailer
Max, I have an 06 31RKT that weighs in at about 8500 dry and according to the weight ticket I got while attending the FROG rally last summer it is very close to the 11,500 GVW max. I pulled it with an 06 Dodge Megacab w/5.9 Cummins and an equallizer hitch, never had any problems stability wise until...

Re: Can we tow 1998 M28RKB 5er with 06 F350 FX4 DRW?
WELCOME TO THE CLUB! Several members pull their trailer with a 4X4 ford and have no problems, only issue would be as Don stated is if you truck has been lifted. Another thing to remember when you are out is some campgrounds may have a entrance gate with a top cross piece, the cross piece may or may ...

Re: Campsites harder to find?
We try to plan our travels on a daily basis when we are not trying to get to a specific location by a set date. We will look at the map each night and plan the next day's route and destination, we make a list of possible campgrounds in that area with phone numbers and addresses, when we are getting ...

Re: Buy vs Rent RV lots
Of course once you retire you can start doing a lot more traveling and not have to worry about getting back for work. Only thing that gets us is doctor appointments and now grandchild events. Don't put off until tomorrow what you want to do because tomorrow is not guarranteed to any of us. See mikes...
