Re: Trail air vs 5th airborne
My plan is to go with Mor ryde and trimbrens. I had Timbrens on a 2004 Dodge. They worked great while hooked up to the camper but I always thought they caused the truck to ride very stiff when not hooked up. If memory serves me correctly when not hooked up they ride 1 1/2 inches above the axle and ...

Re: Total Loss
Wow, sorry for the loss
That 3030 is a nice model. Hopefully Tom Allen will see this, he has a 3030 and uses a Ford 3/4 ton similar to yours and has pulled it quite a few miles. I'm sure he can let you know how the truck handles that size camper.
Good luck with finding that new camper!

Re: Big Tree RV Resort
Looks like a real nice place Wayne. How has your weather been?
I do too. Especially monthly rates and such. I just called a C.G. in Panama City FL for a price for a week early in May and it was $576 . A little rich for my blood!Travelers wrote:I wish more would do similar write ups.

Re: GM/Dodge trucks
Rich, I have a 2008 Chevy 3/4 ton diesel crew cab with an 8' box. The truck has a 3.73 rear axle ratio. I have 73K miles on it and have only had a few minor problems. The camper weighs around 13700# My fuel milege varies from 9.5 when I'm in a hurry and up to 14 mpg on flat land at 58 mph in O.D. Wh...

Hey Mike keep that bad mojo on your side of the continent until it goes away!!
I agree with what Mark says, "it'll be better than new" when you do get it back.

Re: Toyota

Re: Winterizing your home
When my folks were snowbirding they used to have a house with hot water heat. My Dad filled the system with anti-freeze, blew all of the water lines out, emptied the hot water heater and dumped anti freeze in all of the drains, and in the toilet tanks and bowls. He also pumped it in thru the washer ...
