Looks like the diesel wars are going to get very interesting. The winner, of course, will be all of us that drive them. Let the games begin! :ymapplause: :ymapplause: :ymapplause:

That probably wouldn't be too much to hope for on the F350. The F450 being tested is quite a bit heavier.

Re: Timbren Suspension Systems

I'm using the Firestone airbags and have been very happy with them. I like being able to adjust the pressure to whatever load I'm carrying and when I am not loaded I don't have to feel every little bump in the road.

Re: Adding air bags

I installed mine myself. A couple of beers, three busted knuckles and, a few choice words is all it takes. It's a pretty straight forward install. :thumbrt:

Re: Adding air bags

Big Bird, We will keep our fingers crossed that you don't get any more hard rain up there. It sure has been a "interesting" season for some of you folks. Yes, I think for most people the compressor is not really needed. I know that I don't change the pressure enough to for it to make sense...

Re: Adding air bags

Sounds like a reasonable price. I didn't get the compressor with mine. Since I don't change the pressure very often and I carry a small compressor with me, I didn't feel the need.
I see that we are expecting more rain this week. Are you in the mudslide area?

Re: Adding air bags

The Firestone airbags have been a good choice for me. I paid around $180 (if my memory is correct) for them on ebay and installed them myself. The advantage they have over adding a leaf spring is that you can adjust the pressure to whatever is needed depending on the load you are carrying. I don't s...

Bruce,

I understand that Southern Pacific is trying to sell some of their locomotives. Mount a set of Michelins on it and you would be set to go.
