Re: Edge Insight CTS

Towing you get a passive regen because of the temperatures that are generated by towing heavy. My average is always been 700 to 750 miles.

Re: Edge Insight CTS

When your towing with the new GM's you can't tell unless you stop and see the idle is up or you start to lose a little fuel mileage. This truck goes about 750 miles when towing before a regen.

Re: Pin Box Adjustment

You have to remember Monty is the sheriff and is very busy patrolling and keeping Don in line.

Re: Edge Insight CTS

Figures! I watch my trans temp and let the truck computer do the rest. I do miss seeing when I am in regen but not to worried about anything else. I like you will not drop 400 for a new one.

Re: Mikes new Truck

Well traveling from here to Salem and home I put on around 160 miles. Averaged 10.3 mpg with 2,900 miles on truck so I don't feel too bad towing that much weight. Guess I will see what I get going to Jackson and heading over the passes. Wont be picking up my new fuel tank until the way home.

Re: Pin Box Adjustment

Same hitch newer head. I may need to go that route. Mine came out empty with a 3,000lb pin weight. So I'm sure I'm around 3,400lbs.

Re: Pin Box Adjustment

I agree, but until Lippert changed or changes the weight the trail air can carry it was not doing much good. My last pin box air bag would not hold the weight. Now when I had this trailer built I wanted the trail air but decided to wait until I saw what I had for the weight of the pin plus what Lipp...

Re: Pin Box Adjustment

John, Alice had a trail air pin box. My only problem with it was I was running max air pressure and still had to put 2/3 tank of fresh water in. They have changed the bag they use and it will hold more weight. I like the mor ryde I have now but will probably go back to air. This is the best towing t...

Re: Mikes new Truck

I'm going with an underneath one this time to shed some weight. Will carry 61 gallons instead of 86. All and all will save around 240lbs

Re: Mikes new Truck

It came a year early. But between GM and Costco I could not pass up the deal. Plus John Taylor was still talking about his very nice GMC and did not want to take away from that. Also my new truck looks so much like the last one minus the brush guard I was waiting to see if anyone would even notice. :d

Re: Pin Box Adjustment

Call Lippert on Monday and ask them. I need to go out and look at mine but I use a Reese hitch and have close to 7" of clearance over the rails. My only problem with the Truxedo rails is on very sharp turns it just scrapes the cover rail and peels off a little metal. Which gave it the clearance...

Re: New Truck

I have about 7" of clearance but the bottom of the pinbox is where my problem is. The worst it has hit was backing into Dennis and Donnas. Won't hit in that area again.

Re: New Truck

I have the Truxedo lo pro is that what you have? I had to bend the fins up on the back of my pin box but it can brush the mount rails on a very sharp turn.

Looks about the same
