Opinions on BANKS intake/exhaust after market systems

I'm curious if anyone has installed either or both of these Banks systems and had it affect power/mileage. I had a motorhome with the exhaust part come with it, and I got about 10 mpg. Banks tries to tell us both Power and Mileage will be noticeably better. with diesel topping $5.00/gal now, I think...

Yeah, 55 mph can be dangerous on today's freeway's. Cars come up on me awfully fast! But, if the freeway is fairly empty, I too like to cruz slower & feast on the flowers! Guess there isn't too much consensus on my post. Around here, if I'm in OD at 61, the tranny shifts down and up too often cu...

Ford 6.0 PSD towing my cardinal--best mileage speed?

My truck shifts into overdrive at 61 mph while in tow/haul mode. The engine is obviously running slower, but working harder. I'm wondering if anyone else with my configuration has tested fuel mileage while running on a flat road in overdrive at around 61 mph, vs. underdrive at say 55 mph--where the ...

My 06 F350 PSD had 4", I put 2" in it & installed air bags. Now I blow the bags up just enough to lift the trailer off the overload springs--works good. when i'm done towing, I reduce the pressure in the bags for a lower & better ride. My cardinal is slightly high in the front, but...

Judi: I love to recommend this wax. I should (but don't) work for them. Starbrite Premium RV Polish with PTEF (like Teflon). www.starbrite.com. I actually bought a full case of it & gave most of it as gifts to my family members. They love it too. It's much cheaper by the case. The bird looks bra...

Yes, I'm one who likes to "protect" when I can, so I will--eventually. However, as we drive around various cities in residential areas, it's amazing how many rigs are left outside 24/7/365 a year! I mainly worry about leakage--sooner or later--but it also makes them look dull. I'm going to...

I bought GMAC insurance--VIP insurance through Good Sam. For my 3 cars, and the bird it was $500 cheaper per year than pemco, geico, AIG, & others. I was surprised. Plus they have coverage of the bird--I think I'm paying about $200 a year and it includes $3000 bird contents. I;ve been happy with...

I built a 48' shop that had RV storage 4 years ago when I owned my 30' Class A. Then I put up a 12' Mezzanine floor which cut the storage to under 36' long. Then I bought a 33'11" Bird and when I got it home it was 6" too long to go in! Pretty dumb eh? Don't believe the brochures on rig le...

Where do I order Cardinal parts?

I guess I could go hunt the net for this, but I thought someone out there could point me to an internet site (hopefully discount--yeah right) to get various Cardinal parts--I'm now looking for a multi-towel rack for inside the bathroom wall.

Hi Rob: We camped at Beachwood RV resort at Blaine. Very relaxing! Good idea on the fan--I'll try that. What about when you're not hooked up to electric? We have a KM Resort also at ocean shores. We were going to camp near Sequim but our day of departure had 5" of snow forecasted for Hood canal...

Our 31RK had the pillow top mattress option in it when we got it. We thought it was "cheap" quality. We have put a 4" memory foam on it (from Costco) like at home and have been experimenting more. We just bought a 2" memory foam from Walmart and DW likes that combination. My side...

inside condensation question

We just camped 5 days--mostly raining, but a couple nice days too. Especially while raining, we had lots of condensation on the inside windows. I had windows slightly open, heaters running, and occasionally ran the vent fans, which helped some. But, in the morning we would awake to more condensation...
