Re: Yellowstone RV Park?

The KOA on the Montana side of Yellowstone that you may be thinking about is at Bozeman. We've stayed there several times, It's a nice park and is close to the North entrance to Yellowstone.

Re: my 2012 F350 died today

I agree Keith, however, I know just enough to be dangerous, so I'll just call the Good Sam ERS folks and let them tow me to the nearest Ford dealer.

Re: my 2012 F350 died today

I had my truck serviced Tuesday and mentioned this to the service writer, he immediately knew what the problem was as he's seen several cases of it. It seems these sensors can be affected by the amount of heat generated by towing done in heavy pulling situations. carrying one spare is not really an ...

Re: RAM pickup hitch options.

George how does that B&W Companion work with the factory installed hitch hardware under the bed? My truck came with the 5th wheel and goose neck prep package. I got looking for the release handle like the B&W has and couldn't find it. I finally went to the dealer and the service manager show...

Re: Scratch In Our New Truck

My new truck got scratched by some yoyo at the Sam's parking lot and it was out away from the rest of the crowd. I found it on one of the rear fenders when I came back out, and there was nobody close to me, looks like a shopping cart scratch but it's down to the fiberglass.

Re: Auxiliary vs Transfer Tank

Gary, I've had both the replacement tank and the aux tank. The replacement tank set me back about $1700 installed, it was about $900, but the labor was more due to having to remove the factory tank. The replacement tank for my Dodge MegaCab gave me 52 gallon vs the 35 gallons for the factory tank. W...

Re: my 2012 F350 died today

Keith, do you run fuel additive during the winter? Sometime I think i may be wasting money, but, it sure beats having the fuel gel. I haven't heard of anything to put in the DEF to keep it from freezing. I was surprised at my 15K OLF service that they didn't even mention replacing the fuel filter on...

Re: Cypress Trail RV Resort

Wow! That looks like quite a place, and to be able to get in on the ground floor is really a good deal. Did you actually buy a lot with a deed or is it a long term lease? It's nice to have nice new facilities. We bought a time share 29 years ago and fortunately the owners association has been good a...

Re: Sad Day! Tranny Problems

My 06 5.9 Cummins realy pulled the Bird great, only problem I had was the tranny. I sometimes wish I had pursued getting the problem with the unit not staying in OD a little longer before trading. Having the 6 sped tranny in the new truck sure is nice however AND the new Ford 6.7 is a marvelous powe...

Re: Selecting A Generator

Rob, I am assuming that you plan to dry camp and therefore need the generator. If you're wanting a built-in one look at the one that Cardinal would have installed. For portable ones I don't think you can beat the Honda units, check with Camping world or your local Honda dealer for specs.

Re: Sad Day! Tranny Problems

In 2012 the CC used DEF and the pickups didn't, at least down here they were that way. Didn't know Dodge had 2 six speed auto transmissions as the brochures didn't list them.
