Re: Interstate 101 Klamath

That is a reasonable fix. The coast is hard to beat. Always so beautiful. Much cooler than home right now.

Re: Pony Express RV Resort- Salt Lake City

We paid $20 more per night than 2018, to stay there. Not a fan of Sun RV Resorts. The website made no mention of it being a construction zone.

Re: Pony Express RV Resort- Salt Lake City

Sun RV has many policies that rub the wrong way. I have stayed in many of their parks before and after they took over. Nearly all takeovers have been rundown quality in my book. They are gobbling up parks like crazy all over the country.

Pony Express RV Resort- Salt Lake City

We stopped at Pony Express RV Resort in North Salt Lake City for a night on the way home from the 2021 National Rally in Washington. Pony Express has sure seen better days! We were here in 2018 for the Cardinal RV Club National Rally. It was amazingly maintained, green lawns, wonderful staff, fabulo...

US 95 near Grangeville, Idaho

We passed a northbound bird on US 95 south of Grangeville, Idaho about 11 A.M. this morning. (Between Coeur d’Alene and Boise). It was a ‘18 or ‘19 era Luxury Edition with two bikes on the back, all being towed by a newer Black Dodge SRW pickup.

Varoom! Zoom! You'll be PUSHING us through the Oregon and Washington Cascades on the way to Leavenworth in June. Glad it happened while you were home and had a shop you were familiar with. :D

Frame Welding vs Electronics

I offer this as a precautionary warning. Before any sort of welding is done to the steel frame/components of your trailer, you must disconnect Positive and Negative leads to to the house batteries. The reason is that arc welding sends an electrical charge through the steel frame, through the batteri...

I mentioned that to the manager. He said "Oh well". He was not the friendliest, nor the most hospitable guy around.

Taos Valley RV Resort: SURPRISE!

We went to Taos, NM after our trip to Creede, CO. We stayed three nights at Taos Valley RV Resort. It was nicely located near the town center. It is a clean, older park, making maneuvering into sites a bit challenging for large rigs. Fair prices and we were fine. Two days after we left and went to S...

Re: Andersen Ultimate 5th wheel hitch?

Keith, I have not towed with one but have seen them in use and hitching up. Owners have had challenges on steep angles and uneven parking/camp spaces. The trailer must raise high enough to get above the ball and adapter plate. 4X4 trucks can sit high, making for occasional fun hitching up.That is al...

Re: New Truck Tires?

I always go back to Michelin Defender LTX M/S highway tire. They last and perform best for me. My Fords have come new with Continental ContiTrac tires. I like how they handle but I never get more than 35,000 miles on them. The Michelins get better mileage wear.
