Just purchased a 2005 Cardinal 37rl.
Will be heading for Mesa later this year from Ontario.
Will need campground info and favorite routes from Detroit south and west.
Any advice for this trip would be appreciated (Best campground guide, cities to avoid etc.).
Final destination will be Towerpoint Resort in Mesa.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Eddy

Welcome to the site. If you leave late in the year, many get as far south as they can before turning West! I do know that many heading West on I-10 take highway 70 at Lordsburg to Globe, Az and then 60 on in. Chris

Hey, sailrguy, JoAnn and I stay at Tower Point! We will show up about November 1. Our space is H-49. I will try to look you up. Our preferred route from Kansas City, Mo is: I-35 to Wichita, Ks, then Hwy 54 across Kansas to Tucumcari, Nm, then I-40 to Holbrook, Az. Then to Heber and Payson. The trip from Holbrook to Mesa is very scenic, but an engine brake or transmission brake would be handy for the descent from Payson into the valley. Hwy 54 is two lane, but good road and little traffic. If you like to run 80 mph with the big boys, stay on Interstate Hwys. If 60 - 65 will work, this is a very nice drive. Tower Point just added a coffee shop. Let me buy you a cup, and the conversation will be free, too. Roy & JoAnn

I do read instructions and have been known to listen . Unusual for a male, but true.
Your thoughts and advice are most appreciated and will be part of a successful trip.
Many thanks
Eddy.

I will suggest once you do determine your route to Mesa you use RV Park Reviews This is a website where people who stay in the campgrounds are the ones reviewing them. I have included a link to their website below.
