Looking for a campground near Green Bay Wi. to stay at for a few days. Having a hard time finding one with good reviews. Don't mind driving a hour or two to get there

Dennis, Not sure when you want to go, perhaps soon? We stayed in Brussels WI on the peninsula near Door County in a nice park called Quiet Woods-South Campground. It sits in hilly land among dairy farms with unique settings and beautiful scenery. Very friendly, roomy and organized. Not sure if they are a year round park, but I would definitely go again. I would also go to the end of the road on the peninsula, Sturgeon Bay and Egg Harbor. We failed to do that and regret missing the rest of Door County. (Disclaimer: We were there in 2007.)

I have never stayed near Green Bay as my sister lives a couple of hours away. My suggestion is to go up to the Door peninsula. There are lots of campgrounds there with lots of small towns catering to the tourists. You will be there during peak season so you need to get your reservations well in advance.

Dennis, Quiet Woods-South would be perfect that time of year. It is central for exploring the rest of the peninsula without a trailer in tow, plus it is a quick hop to Green Bay. We really want to go back there and explore it more. I also recommend reservations since you have a specific time frame. We were there in the Fall, and stumbled in. They still had space for us. Dana
