Big Bear Lake, California

Post by pops91710 »

For some reason I have shunned the Big Bear Lake area for camping. But the National Forest Service made a really nice campround there called Serrano.
They have about 135 sites there and one full loop is dedicated to RV's with full hook-ups. (W,S,E)

Out of curiosity I dropped in to check it out about a week ago and ended up running home to get my rig to try it out after I saw some really nice sites!

I took as many photos as I could and posted them here
http://outdoors.webshots.com/photo/2982 ... 9298xavzVO Now, the way I did this was to first take a picture of the site's number plaque, than I took shots of the site itself and the approach to it so in the future I can remember if it was easy to access while making reservations. I also included some non-hookup sites simply because they were so nice and a good contingency in case the rv sites are all taken.

Let me know what you think.

Mike,

Good Idea! There is one thing you need to check out though. Most commerical websites that store photos will only leave them on their website for 6 months unless you add to them on an on going basis or pay for storage!

Hi Mike

Nice Job on the pictures. I haven't been to Big Bear Lake since the late '60s. I can only imagine how much it's changed since then. That big pine tree is quite the sight.
